Posted 7/1/2009 8:21 AM (GMT -6) any of you have persistant itchy spots and there isn't anything obvious there??  There is a small area on the arch of my left foot that has such a deep itch I am scratching the skin off.  I don't see a bite, or anything for that matter.  It comes and goes but when it starts to itch it can last for hours.
Oh...maybe this is akin to having your left palm itch and I'm going to come into a huge pile of money??? Now, how sweet would that be?

Donna I have a spot on the top of my right foot that I have scratched till it is a sore. I have a place kinda between side and back that itches sometimes, always same spot, and will last all day and then go away. I get these different places on my body  like I have cooties and I will get bumps like something is biting me but there is never anything there. I have an assortment of anti itch creams I have tried. If I wear a bra too long I break out under my breast with an itchy rash. I'm still trying to get the sores healed from blistering under the pads when I had to wear the heart monitor for 24 hours. Our skin is as crazy as the rest of our bodies.

I agree about having crazy bodies...including skin. I have a rare type of dermatitis called dermatitis herpetiformus. It's like smearing someone with grease, tossing them into a hill of fire ants, then rolling them into an old wool blanket and laying them in the sun. You would not believe the itching when it's out of control Luckily my dermo has me on an old, cheap medication that stops/controls it. Maybe there's something in common between our skin and the fibro??

If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it.

Donna I had the itchy foot thing yesterday.  It was on the bottom of the foot.  I wondered if I stepped on something but I couldnt see anything.  It made me nervous because I just got over a bad spider bite on the top of my foot.  Eventually the itch stopped.  With fibro I feel like things are acting up one day and going away (or moving to a different spot) the next day.

The top of one of my feet does that itchy thing, too.  Drives me nuts!  If I get scratching too much, I'll get a washcloth with cold water on it and it seems to settle the area down.
Yesterday I had the sensation that I had a drop of ice water rolling down my leg.  My leg was completely dry.
