confused   Does anyone know about adhiesions in the abdomin ? I have them all in there , often they act up and I usually know when it is that pain , and I have been on antibiotics off and on for months due to other illnesses . The past three days I have been getting sharp pain on the middle-right and middle-left side , today it's the left . How can I tell if it's a UTI ??? I have been so ill the past few months or so , virus , sinusitis , ear pain and here is the kicker ... cry I am allergic to mold and mildew and it is in the bathroom and it connects to my bedroom , so I believe That is keeping me sick . Yes I will be moving soon to get away from it...I sure would appreciate any replys. Thank you and have a great day !!! :-)

I have lots of adhesions from previous surgeries too, and the tiniest bit of intestinal gas can cause lots of pain.  Could that maybe be what you are experiencing?  When I get it, it usually lasts for a few days and moves to different areas of my abdomen.  I use generic Gas-X (simethicone), and it seems to help.   There is also a yoga position that can be found at the bottom of this website page that I've found helpful:

I don't know anything about the products or other info on this site, but I do find the yoga part helpful.

Also, you can get home UTI detection kits at Walgreens (probably other drugstores too).  I've never used them, so I don't know how well they work.  I guess if it is positive you still would have to go to the dr. for treatment, but if it is negative, it might put your mind at ease.

Hope you feel better soon.

Bladder infections usually cause frequent urination and burning, adhesions usually don't. You can have a bladder infection that just causes pain but it is unusual.

You should probably go to a doc and get checked because you've been on antibiotics lately. If you have a yeast infection from the antibiotics, you are more likely to get a bladder infection.

Good Luck

Hi..I have had five abdominal surgeries and am loaded with adhesions.  I have had them removed once.  The sensation I get is a pinching and the feeling of gas.  I know...they hurt.  Sorry you are feeling so badly.

I have been complaining of gas and popping simethicone like M&M's.  Maybe it's adhesions I'm feeling.  Never thought about that!
