Is there anyway to find a listing of drs?  I live in north florida/south alabama and need to find a dr that treats fibromyalgia and arthritis.  I prefer to find a dr(if possible) that treats all things not haveing to go to multiple drs.  I am seeing a dr that is a far drive for me, would ike to find one close

also, I am taking elavil, from the far away dr, he have me 25mg at night 2 days ago, it is making me groggy all day, can I cut that in half?

thanks..

Internists treat about everything.  That's the type of doctor I use.  But he believes in fibromyalgia.  A rheumatologist treats both fibro and arthritis, too.  But, the Internist treats just about anything.

I have an internist as well. He also believes there is such a thing as fibro...and treats several patients with it. I used to have a rheumatologist, but I moved.

Yes.  Internists are trained in nearly all areas.  Just look at the health issues I have that are in my signature.  My Internist takes care of all of them.  They treat you from young adulthood to throughout your life.  Look for a board certified Internist.  And, if they are a Diplomate, that's even better.  That's what my doctor is.  He has to keep abreast of all new things in medicine and take tests on it to keep the certification and the title of Diplomate.
