My blood pressure went down to around 110/75 and I was taken off blood pressure meds.  BUT, I lost weight.  If the meds cause a weight gain with you, that might be why your blood pressure went up.

I've been treated for high blood pressure for 20 years. Before I was I finally diagnosed with fibro I was in a really bad flare with almost unbearable pain when I sat.  My doctor was concerned because he said being in so much pain can raise your blood pressure-which it did for me. Even though I was on 2 different meds for my pressure it was getting higher.  This eventually led to my being dx'd with fibro.  Now that my pain is somewhat controlled my blood pressure is o.k.-although I do still take medication for it-probably always will.

Yes...I've never had a problem with high blood pressure. Oddly enough, right after I was told I had Fibro I also had a high blood pressure reading. Not sure what it is now..think it was normal last time I went.

I have a long family history of high BP and mine was high long before fibro. Stress has a big affect on mine and pain is stress. Salt also has an affect on mine and now that I had to stop eating my regular diet mine was way down for a few days cause I wasn't eating much salt. I had french fries last night and it is back up to normal today. Mine is all over the place most of the time depending on what is going on in my life and how I am feeling. My weight hasn't changed much since getting fibro.

My blood pressure goes all over the place.  Unfortunatley I am so nervous when I go to the doctor it is high when they take a  reading.  My heart beat was 135 and BP 120/82 the last time I went.  Before that, my pulse was 145 and pressure was 140/85.  Good ole white coat...which came about after I took my BP in a drug store and the cuff wouldn't stop pumping and they had to pull the machine away from the wall and uplug it.  Now..every time I fell the cuff pumping, I remember that.  Psychological...I know.  Plus Lexapro increases blood pressure.  No doctor has ever suggested going on meds for it and I have never associated my higher readings with fibro...just White Coat.

I had low pressure most of my life. It went up when I lost over 50 lbs. It bounces all over the place, sometimes it is really low and sometimes it's high. It still fluctuates a lot when I'm on meds.

I have had FMS forever, and I used to have very good BP #s. For about the past 6 yrs, I have noticed my #s were up at the drs office. I would ask and told it was ok. I switched drs last fall and my new dr saw my BP and said it could be nerves at new dr, but come back in 2 wks and we will redo. I did, it was still hi, so I have been on meds since. I have a meter at home and I take my BP every few days. Most days it is good, some not so much.

I went to hosp about 6 wks ago, my BP was fine thru the whole adventure. Very strange.

God bless.  Alice.

Yes, I deal with high blood pressure too. I take Lisinopril daily for it. My resting pulse
is always around 100 or higher. I excercise and am not too overweight. I'm 5'6 and
normally weigh between 135 and 140. My pain level certainly increases the blood

So far I feel I am lucky about blood pressure. I am overweight, but my bp has always been 110/60 or 110/65. My bad cholesterol is low and my good cholesterol right where it should be. Other people in my family who are my weight have bp's all over the place. One sister has had to take bp meds for years. Mine goes up a few ticks when I am in crying pain.
