Here's proof that God does work miracles:
My husband and I went to The Salvation Army this morning. Technically you have to have an appointment, but the woman agreed to see us anyways. We talked with her and explained our situation. We got a $300 grant. They were able to pay almost all of our electric bill. They couldn't pay the reconnect fee or the deposit, but they were able to get our deposit down to $70. They paid all of our gas bill. Which is great, because they were on their way out to disconnect our gas. So, we still have gas. With the money that was leftover from our grant, we got $100 worth of Kroger gift cards. My grandma is going to pay the $95 that's left to get our lights turned back on.
After a weekn of running everywhere trying to find help, and after almost losing hope, we will soon be getting our lights turned back on. To me, this is proof that God does answer prayers and perform miracles.
'Cause when push comes to shove
you taste what you're made of.
You might bend til you break
'cause it's all you can take.
On your knees you look up
decide you've had enough.
You get mad.
You get strong.
Wipe your hands
shake it off.
Then you stand.

Oh, I was praying I would hear a good post from you.  Now, lets work on getting your hubby a job so you don't have to go through this again!  I'm still praying and, yes, God does answer prayer!

Sassy,

Hallelujah! God does come through in the end.

I am so happy that things are working out and that you'll get your lights back on soon!

I want to thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. It really means a lot to me. Our lights got turned on today at like 2:30 this afternoon. I was really happy when they were on. Now I can sit at my computer desk instead of sitting on the edge of a bed, which was really hard on me. Now I can take baths without having to use candles for light. And my son can sleep in his own bed because he has his movie. I am just so thankful for the Salvation Army. They helped us out so much. My husband and I got my grandma a thank you card for her help with our bill.
I appreciate you all keeping my husband's job search in your prayers. I never want this to happen to us again. I don't think I could stand it.
It's nice to have a happy post to post for a change. LOL. I love you all. *soft hugs to everyone*
