 Hello fellow fibromites,

I was wondering...How many of you have difficulty falling asleep or wake up, due
  to crazy fibro pain?

Sleep? What's that?   I very rarley get a good nights sleep. I have trouble getting comfortable. I toss and turn half the night. I also have night terrors. I have tried almost everything, with no results. Some times I take a sleep aid like advil P.M. it relaxes me a little, but I still don't sleep like I should. From what I here people with FM commonly have sleep disorders as well. Some Dr.s say the sleep disorder cause the FM, and some say it's the other way around. I don't know wich is true.  I hope you find some relief soon. If I find anything that helps I will keep you posted.

I think sleep problems with fibro is common.  I have had sleep problems most of my adult life.  Pain woke me up a lot.  I spent most nights soaking in a tub of hot water to ease the pain.  Now that I am taking amitriptyline I am finally sleeping through most nights.

I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine. In the mornings I can access the data on the machine and see how well I've done.
Sometimes, I just have a little pain when I go to bed so I don't take tylenol........but, I've noticed that if I don't take tylenol before I go to bed, my numbers on the cpap machine aren't as good as when I take the tylenol.
I think it doesn't take much pain to wake us up. Even if we don't remember being awake, I think it disturbs our sleep.
I treat myself to just a smidgen of xanax about two nights a week, and my sleep is wonderful!

Stari, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, I guess I just got lucky. Hoping to get
lucky tonight too, it would be wonderful catching two conscecutive nights of good sleep!

When my brain doesn't shut off I get up and read, it distracts me and relaxes me a little.

Yes.
I had that problem just today. I also get the nights where i am drained to the point my eyes are swollen and black and blue.. but my body has energy.
I wonder if its from the pains sometimes or if i'm just crazy? haha
i notcied if i listen to soothing music on headphones (to block out all other sounds) i focus more on that then my pain and i fall asleep faster :)

hope that helps!
