Sooo.....we put our house on the market and went through the daily torment of preparing the house and showing the house. Fortunately we received a contrat on the eleventh day!! Oh, no....we have to find a house!! :)
Been doing the home showings now for the last couple nights and think we have found one.....We put in a contract last night and are awaiting the counter...

What a stressful time in anyone's life. I never dreamed of the long hours, hard work, nailbiting moments, and pacing floor moments that are involved.
The more interesting part will be closing on the house we are selling and also the one we are buying.....and timing so that we do not have to live in a hotel for any length of time......hmmm...

Did I mention trying to keep our three year old from terrorizing the poor peoples houses that we are visiting? :)

It will all be worth it in the end..... hopefully....

First, let me say congratulations!! How wonderful that you were able to get a contract signed so quickly!! Also, teriffic that you have found a house and made an offer. I hope that it is accepted and that all the stars align for you in just the right order.

Buying a home is an extremely stressful time; I can only imagine the increased intensity when you add selling a home to that...and an energetic 3 year old! How is your wife handling the stress? Is she excited too?

Again, congratulations Jokat!

Thank you Kerri,

She is freaking out. She likes to take time to think about things and real estate moves a little quick. We had a house we like get a contract before we even had an opportunity to see it....

She is also a "What if" person..... I am a "we will deal with it as it comes" kind of person....

Congrats!  You got over the hardest part...selling your home!  It's fun looking for the new home but overwhelming when considering the timing and the move.  And, yes, it sure is stressful!  But it will be so worth it when it is all over.  I'm very happy for you, Jokat!

It's so interesting how one half of a couple is often the one who "freaks out" during change or a crisis, while the other rolls calmly with the punches.  My husband and I are the same way.

I hope you are all settled soon, so that your daughter can explore and you and your wife can sit back and smile in your new living room.
