Does anyone have any experience with taking D-ribose?
my MIL recommended i take it for fatigue. she said she had taken it in the past and it really helped her.
i have been taking 1 teaspoons 3x daily for the past 3 weeks and honestly i dont feel any difference. i am still tired alot, i still have problems getting out of bed, etc.

the way it worked i thought it was supposed to pretty much work on anyone.
has anyone else taken it and not felt any better?

am i supposed to feel ALOT better?

im confused. eyes

It didn't help much and was very expensive. I tried it for a few weeks until I ran out and decided to stop. At that price, I expect a big difference.

I found that magnesium malate helped a lot more and was a lot cheaper.

Hi LisaPunk

I've been taking D-Ribose for about 4 months. I take 4500 mg. per day. It took a couple of weeks before I noticed a difference. The difference was subtle, but I did have a bit more energy and was able to accomplish more.

I didn't realize how much it helped until I quit taking it. Within a week, I did not have the energy to get off the couch much less do the laundry or clean. It took me a while to realize the difference in life was the lack of D-Ribose.

After starting D-Ribose again, I realize there is a difference for me. It is not inexpensive and we're all different, but for me it is worth the expense.

from all the information and clinical studies I have read, d ribose needs to be taken for at least 4-6 weeks to see any benefical effects.
Also, for severe problems, it is recommended to take higher does of d-ribose. Usually this is 3-4 5gram dosages throughout the day. After a few weeks of this, you can lower the dose to 2-3 doses per day.
Maybe this will make a difference in how it affects your body...
