Hello,

Sometimes there is a song that comes along and it touches you. It may not be in the context the writer had intended, but it has a special meaning for you...

Watch this video on your computer: You Tube - Rob Thomas Her Diamonds Lyrics on Screen

Think of a woman with FM at night and her husband is reacting to her pain and anguish......Diamonds are her tears because they are precious to him......

This song is touching and revealing and sad all at the same time. I am glad that you shared this. I think I might have my hubby listen to this son. Thanks again for sharing.
'Cause when push comes to shove
you taste what you're made of.
You might bend til you break
'cause it's all you can take.
On your knees you look up
decide you've had enough.
You get mad.
You get strong.
Wipe your hands
shake it off.
Then you stand.

Wow...I think this is how most men feel about their wives. It speaks of frustration because he cant help her, and men want and need to be able to help. I thought it was perfect. Added it to my favorites and playlist in youtube. Thank you :)

Oh, wow, was that sad in that context! I've heard the song, but never read the lyrics before. Thank you for sharing what this song makes you think of, Jokat.

I know Rob Thomas's mother had cancer; I wonder if that song is about that? I know that 3am, from Matchbox Twenty, is about her.

Thank you, Jokat.   cry

Yesterday my wife told me she had read a Rob Thomas interview. He wrote the song for his wife who is suffering from Lupus. It answered why I could relate it to our FM so easily after she told me that....

thank you so much for sharing this. My dh has been learning the guitar this year, and starting to get quite good, I think. Anyway, he does have a list of Matchbox 20 songs that I just love listening to him play. I'm going to send this to him... although i don't know if I will be able to listen to him play this one. The last few nights he has been sitting by the stairs as I pace and cry from the pain in my face. After I am coherent enough to speak, it just breaks my heart to see him there, the concern in his eyes. I saw this acoustic version you also might enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igxBjFpkUXA&feature=related
