For those who are interested...grandson Jaksyn was born this morning at 4:55 with daddy on one side and me on the other. It's such a miracle to witness a new life. And for those who are interested in some details...mommy went into serious labor about 2:00 AM, we left home about 3:30 AM, got her to the hospital and into a room/bed and she started the final stages of labor about 4:40. The anesthesiologist showed up quick with the epidural but baby was beginning to crown. Mom was a bit shocked having to go 'natural' but it only took another 10-15 minutes and we were holding a wondrous baby boy.

Jackson Richard is 6# 2.3 oz and 19" long with lots of long, dark hair and the most beautiful skin. I came home and slept for a bit but now grandpa and I are taking big brother, 3 years old, in to meet is new best friend.

Thanks for all of the prayers and good wishes. I know it made a difference!

Congrats mom! I am so happy for you. I understand what she went through going natural. I was given petocin and went from three to nine in a half hour. I didn't have time for an epidural. Anyways. I really am so happy for all of you! Congrats mom!

Children are such miracles. Infants remind us that there is still innocence in this world. Every time I see a new baby, I always hope that they get to be a kid for a long time and that their innocence won't be shattered by the way the world is today.

Thank you all for your warm wishes and caring. You all touch my heart so deeply. It wasn't until I got home that the adrenalyn wore off and the reminder of fibro took over again but for that wonderful time all I saw was that baby coming into the world. He is worth everything...
