Hi, first poster here and  I've had fibro for about 10 years.  Recently I got a crick in my neck ffrom bending over a dog bed.  (New pups.) Plus I got up about every two hours to check on them.  Did I forget I needed my sleep?  nono Went to the Dr. and got a cortisone shot in long muscle behind my right ear. He gave me Soma and Nabumatone.  None of it is really helping but I drool more when I try to sleep..that is fun.  Any advice? Don't scare me o.k., I'm fragile.

Hi, Yorkie Lady, and welcome!  I think everyone, at one time or another, has had that bad stiff neck.  You can get a Bed Buddy at Walgreens and other places or make one yourself.  Take a tube sock, fill it 2/3's full of long grain rice, and tie a knot at the end.  Pop it in the microwave and it will give off moist heat due to the moisture in the rice.  Drape this over your neck and it will feel soooo good!

Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the first thread on the forum.  There is good info in there that might help you.

I'm glad you found us and joined in.  I hope to hear more from you soon.

Advice. Place a dish towel on your pillow.

Feel better soon.

I've been suffering from fibromyalgia for over 5 years. I find that 30 minutes in an infrared sauna helps reduce almost eliminate the pain. Anyone with a similar experience? FYI, i'm using the eloofa brand portable sauna. Find it here: http://eloofaimports.com/magento/index.php/saunas/large-portable-infrared-fir-sauna.html
