The dear hubby thinks I lost two weedeaters this summer.  I lose keys, spatulas and wallets.  I don't  'lose' weedeaters. I can't even use a stupid weedeater.(I MAY have set one by the tree when we cleaned the garage and someone stole it.)  So...he borrowed a gas operated one from a friend until next summer because where I live, the summer stuff is gone and the snowblowers are in.  He cranks it up and immediately about a foot of string flies out, and this thing took off on its own, wrapped itself around my rose of sharon bush and began to tear it to shreads.  Does he drop it...or take his finger off the trigger?  No...he holds on and this monster thing flings him around the bush like a whirly gig and the branches, leaves and DIRT are flying everywhere.  The porch is covered...the dirt is blowing in through the open window and forget the sidewalk.  It is littered with what is left of my poor tree.
Disgusted, he puts it away and goes to his office to teach a class.  I know it was a mistake...heaven knows I have done worse things.  But I cleaned up the mess and now I can't turn my head  to the right.  Sweeping is murder on me, and I had  a long sidewalk to sweep.  Plus taking a rake and getting up the debris that was strown all over the yard.
Just another instance where I don't create all the damage around here...and a big fat OWIE to boot.  My heating pad is broken...I'm going to lay down on my nice warm dog.

Oh Donna, you use the most desciptive languge, I can really imagine the mess it made.
Hope you get some relief. I laughed so hard when you said you were going to lay on
your warm dog because your heating pad is broken.

Donna, I can picture it now....I'm surprised that your hubby made it back to his office, since he was leaving the mess for you to clean up!  LOL  Why didn't you call  your neighbors over...the ones that clean the street in front of their house?  They would have loved helping you!  devil

But, I am sorry you had that problem.  Get out your Bed Buddy for your neck and try to massage it, too.  I hope you feel better.

It is definitely a day for venting. I think it's because the full moon was so mischievous this weekend.

My dogs are great heating pads. One I can use as pillow/heating pad combination. I used to make one of my cats walk on my back, too. Unfortunately my beloved passed away a few months ago and the remaining cat is completely disdainful of his personal service requirement, so... back to the drawing board.

Ouch, I feel your pain.  But really, are you going to lay down on your pup?  Now, my golden would think that was a fabulous idea--getting into mom's bed--how great is that?  I've been sleeping with this big bed buddy that drapes over your shoulders.  It was my late mother in laws and I inherited it.  Maybe you need something like this, instead of laying on the pup.  It's like a big collar and shoulders pads filled with herbs.  Smells good and I sprinkle water on it for some moist heat.

OMG Spirit your DH asked you to make a list of chores for him to do???? shocked shocked shocked   I would rush my DH to the hospital if he did that cause I would know something terrible was wrong with him. I have tried to make list of chores that he needs to do and rarely does anything get done on the list. I'm not saying he doesn't do anything around the house cause he does but not the things that is important to me to be done. We are never on the same page when it comes to priorities around the house. I would love him to death if he would clean out the garage before winter. I have told him I'm going to make the trash guys very, very happy one of these days when I start putting stuff out for them, which I have done before, but he must not think I have the energy to do that anymore. He better hide and watch when I get in the right mood. devil
Donna your story reminded me of the time my DH and I had watched a show about sculpturing bushes to make them look like animals and things and I went shopping and came home to butchered shrubs where the genius decided he could do that too. Yep, another one of those "what were you thinking"  moments.
luv and hugs
