It really is that kind of day. I have been having that kind of weekend after a whole week of feeling good, so pull up a chair and set a spell. Here goes.
Friday night I was supposed to have "date night" with the BF and go to open Swim at one of the high school pools. This was going to be our inaugural swim activity for winter. It was a really nice night and he decided he wanted to go for a motorcycle ride. That was fine, I understand his motorcycle thing, and he's safe and it's a great hobby because it keeps him quiet. wink   I'd go by myself. I went to my car and had a flat. Luckily I had a spare, but after changing it I was too tired to go swim. I felt cranky and sore, and went to bed and woke up Saturday feeling exhausted. I had all my laundry to do and was on load 5 when the dryer broke (the motor burned out). It was an old workhorse, but had never had anything wrong with it - it just died. Grrr. I had just turned it on with my big huge flannel king-size duvet cover in it, wet and heavy. Plus there was a wet load in the washer. My boyfiend's brother who loves close by let us come by and use his dryer, which was nice. His wife made dinner. It was delicious but irritated my IBS. That's all I'll say about that!
Sunday my boyfriend, also apparently feeling irritable this weekend, picked a fight with me for not cleaning the kitchen up. I looked at the clutter and stuff on the counter and pointed out to him that the mess was his, and that I was going to go upstairs and do some stretches. he asked how my new stretching routine as going. "Swimmingly," I said. Ooh, I know, it was a low blow and I NEVER argue or get snippy. So that was that until we made up last night and thought to go for a beautiful drive and watch the sunset down by the water. I got in the car and aas we drive out of the neighborhood had an anxiety attack that made me have to turn around and go home. (Kind of unusual again for me.) Frustrated, my BF got on his (you guessed it) motorcycle and drove away, and got home at 11pm (past his bedtime). He apologized for being a brat and I did too, and we went to bed. This morning I woke up an hour late for work and, upon flushing the toilet, had it overflow all over the bathroom and into the hallway into our piles of sorted laundry (remember, Saturday was going to be Laundry Day). In addition to the towels newly-cleaned at my BF's brother's house, our other dirty clothes caught most of the overflow. The anxiety, very close to the surface this weekend, rose almost as quickly as the toilet's overflow, and I ended having to stay home from work because I was having a meltdown. Was it the full moon???
Four loads of wash await my BF's return from work... I have a bucket of chicken for dinner and a roll of quarters as we embark on our just-rescheduled Date Night at the laundromat. eyes Stay tuned for the next chapter of As the Fibro Burns... but I'll let Donna write it because I'm venting right now.

What a mess but, I'm sorry to say, it made me laugh!  I know.  I'm sooo bad but I've had times like that too and that's just about all  you can do is laugh...that or start punching holes in  your walls!
What a mess....hmmm, I just said that, didn't I!  That old saying, When it rains, it pours, certainly applies to you.  I do hope you get everything straightened out and get back in control again.  Maybe, hop on the back of your BF's motorcycle and head to the pool.

Holy mackerel, is all I can say!  I love it when the belt on the washer breaks in the middle of the rinse cycle also.  Sopping wet, soapy clothes you have to wring out by hand.  Have a nice relaxing swim!

It's all I can do is laugh.

I forgot to mention that I was cleaning a bit on Sunday morning and had to unplug the stove for a minute - when I plugged it back in I killed the power to the whole house! But I learned where the master switch is, outside. : )

oh boy, you take the cake. You are the winner of the weekend fibro life changing events.

I hate it when the washer and drier goes kaput also.

I call that the domino affect littleneck. I think having the washer or dryer go out is one of the most aggravating things, besides car problems, that can happen. My appliances usually wait til I have a big gathering at my house planned to go out and I know they do it on purpose. One summer we planned a big family reunion and it was 100 degrees and the air went out. A couple of years ago the dishwasher went of the fritz Thanksgiving and it was only a couple of yrs old. I didn't even have a dish drainer thingy in the house when they had to be washed by hand.
Hope things are all better this morning.
luv and hugs

I had to watch many, many videos of little puppies and kitties on YouTube before I went to bed last night! But yes, thankfully, it is no longer a full moon and my day was (knock wood) uneventful!
