Hi Canamia,
Welcome to the board. I am kinda new to this one myself. but so far there are soo many people that are caring , supportive . and can offer great advise. you always get a positive response from folks around here. and that's nice. its kinda like my Fibro family tongue

I was dx'ed about one and half  years ago..with Firbo , Dick disease in my neck and back, and Chronic fatigue. along with that I also deal with Migraines ( because of the neck issue ) Acid reflux,Gerd, Ibs. Arthritis in my feet, hands, they think my back, and a place in my Ribs ( that one is kinda weird ) carpool tunnel in my wrist , Adhesions through out the entire area from under ribs all the way down.. .. Wow ..

I just wanted to welcome you .. I'm sure you will get more responses. from the Regulars here.
Take care .. and welcome .  yeah
Prayers for better days.

Hi, Canamia, and welcome!  I guess we don't have many, if any, taking Soma so that's probably why you didn't get a response.  I'm sorry that happened to you.  Usually you get many responses to a thread.

Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good information about fibromyalgia that might help you.  There is even a link to myofascial pain syndrome since it is so much like fibro.

Be sure to keep moving.  Sitting and laying too much will make you stiff as a board and make your pain worse.  Gentle stretching and gentle exercises like walking and swimming are very good for us.  Moist heat works well, too.  You can take hot showers or get a Bed Buddy from Walgreen's and other places.  You can make your own by taking a tube sock, filling it 2/3's full of long grain rice (not instant), and tying a knot at the end.  Pop it in the microwave and it gives off moist heat due to the moisture in the rice.

Read back post because there is a world of information in them.  Don't hesitate to ask questions, either, because we are here to help you.  I do hope you get some responses on the Soma.  I'm so glad you found us and joined in.  I hope to hear more from you soon.

aww thank you guys! i always felt "crazy" cus i have so many probs and no1 tends to believe u can feel so bad all the time! hugs to u all. I did get some sweet responses on the soma post and as of right now the one i took a few hrs ago has worn off and get take abother until around 2 am :( but at least it helps some! when last nights ran out i had to take one couple hrs ahead of time cus i was so sore. I too tend to find myself pacing or not being able to sit for long as it hurts too much but so does walking im on 2nd floor of my house n have to go up n down quite often thru the day and i can only make it up the stair WITHOUT stopping a couple times a day if i go slow enough otherwise my legs feel like they are on fire! i truly appreciate ur reponses and i have checked fibro 101 n think its wonderful and very informative! this site is what gave me the courage to tell my pain dr i needed something else!

Just want to say welcome and I'm so sorry to hear of your pain. I can relate. I take percocet and lyrica for the pain and sometimes I still suffer with it. Just hang in there and keep posting here. We are here for you and will respond to your posts.

God bless and I wish you a low pain day today.

Believe in yourself.  Be kind to fellow humans and animals.  Take time to smell the flowers and the coffee.
And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help.  I will be there.
