mild sore throat, nausea and diarrhea, (ugh!) for days on end. Anybody else got this virus? Achy, chills, feel like a pile of doggie pooh and I have a 2 day bridal show this weekend. Daughter has the same thing. If you've had it let me know. I'd like to know when it's gonna end. Not really sick enough to call the doc... just feel yucky.

I had the horrible sore throat probably about the end of July, I already had nausea and diarrhea at the time from the celiac. I know I felt really bad for about two weeks from something but don't know what was causing what.

Cepacol is the best thing for sore throats, it numbs better than, whatever the other one is that I can't remember.

I sure hope you get better Jeannie and don't have to miss the show, same goes for MC.

Jeannie,
I don't have it, and I hope you don't have it for long either. Get better fast and have fun at the bridal show.

Thanks all. We loaded in to the show tonight and set up the booth. Have about 1600 samples to give away. Should be a busy time. I'm using tums for the tummy and have stopped coffee, chocolate, spices, eggs and milk. Basically I"m living on chicken and broth! I'll just have to KOKO, and MC, too. We decided we would put on our big girl pants and get the job done. We can collapse next week.... Oh, and the wonderful new front loading washer (that was gonna be the last washer I ever bought) stopped functioning because some logic board in it pooped out.

After all the problems with my computer, cell phone and other great modern stuff I'm beginning to hate technology! My last washer lived to be 28 and I bought it used!

Jeannie I hope you and MC both made it through the show and it went great.

When I get married again will you make me a banana walnut cake??? devil

I hate the way they make modern appliances. mad My dishwasher went out year before last on Thanksgiving Day and it was only a couple years old, the brain died and had to be replaced. It was still under warranty but..............

My SIL has the front loading washer and dryer and is not too crazy about them.

My washer and dryer are the only appliances I have left that have knobs on them and I will use them til they die.

Show was busy... Saturday there were several young ladies who were "ahem!" dressed inappropriately for going out in public... or else I'm a prude. (I really prefer not to see someone's bum cheeks as they walk away because their shorts are that short.) We also had a lot of "lookey-loos" who wanted to rent my dummy cakes and get sheet cakes from Wal-Mart... (Jeannie goes screaming off into the night!!!)

Today was much better. I actually saw a bride with a real pearl necklace on and her underwear wasn't showing. Several brides today were actually interested in being married, not just getting married so they were very flexible about ideas that would save them money and still have a lovely cake. Don't know why today's brides were so much better? I'm still gonna need meds to get to sleep tonight. Standing on concrete for two days is not a good thing for my spine... or MC's and she was a trouper thru the whole darn thing! I am hoping that I sold lots of cakes. The next few days will tell as the appointment calls come in.... or not sad

I work conventions and they are hard. I hope you get plenty of orders and lots of rest. My children grew up working and playing at conventions. At one point my son mentioned that all of our vacations were work related. Hmmm. Out of the mouths of babes.

Glad it went good for you. I ask for a stool now at conventions. it really helps.

you comment about the women's clothing reminded me of something I saw yesterday at a clothing store. A 6' tall woman was wearing clothing that covered maybe 10 percent of her body. She had low cut short shorts and a short short shirt that came down just below her breasts and neckline was cut open and the shirt was too small so her very large breasts were popping almost completely out of it. Not cute or sexy at all.
