Has anyone been prescribed these two medications at the same time? My GP (seeing the Rheumatologist for the first time tomorrow) just started me on a sample 2-week titration pack of Savella, knowing he's already prescribed Prozac 80 mg. I feel the normal (from what I've read) Savella side effects. Just a bit concerned about Seratonin Syndrome.

Hi...I'm on Lexapro(trying to wean off at the moment) and my rheumy would not prescibe either Savella or Lyrica with this SSRI...nor Requip for my Restless Leg.  They all affect seratonin levels.  But I am very sensitive to drugs and he knows that.  So maybe it's not that they are not compatable but just that he knows I have a hard time dealing with adverse side effects.  I hope this combo works for you.

Thanks Donna...

When I called the Pharmacistist, I was told to d/c the Savella and get a second opinion.  I continued it because I'll be seeing the Rheumatologist tomorrow and will ask. My side effects are normal Savella side effects. My symptoms are so bad tonight (worse than ever). So glad to be getting closer to more understanding.

Huggies right back at you!
