I always go to my parents for lunch when i work since they are just down the road.. today was like every other day until i went to leave to go back to work....I couldn't find my keys...

I searched the whole damm house 3 times top to bottom retracing my steps, i had to call in to say i would be late since i couldn't find them. then went and searched the house again. Just as i was about to go out to check the ground my parents pulled up so i asked if they where playing a joke on me and took my keys because i am known to leave them in the door.. but no such luck.

they drove me back to work and searched the house 3 times.. the fridge the freezer anywhere i would have been . to no avail i thought i was going to have to go get new keys and a remote for my car... and of course because i have that stupid little resistor chip they are 70 bucks plus programming and the remote is 130 plus programming...

well at 5pm i get a page at work "Tara line 2 please Tara line 2" I pick up the phone say Tara speaking and hear my mom say i found your keys.... i say thats impossible we searched the house how many times they were not there.... a long pause then.........

As I was getting new towels for the bathroom after cleaning it I opened the linen cabinet and BAMMMM there they were, sitting right beside the motrin bottle

lol oh no!!! the crazy things we do
Pain is temporary.  It might last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year but eventually it subsides and something else will take its place.  If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

Wow. One time, I thought I had lost my keys. I was going crazy. I was looking all over for them. On my second pass of the house, getting more frantic by the minute, I realized that I had been holding them the whole time. And then another time I was looking for my sunglasses. I couldn't find them anywhere. I searched the house, my car...I couldn't find them. When my sister asked me what I was looking for and I told her, she alerted me that they were on my head. I felt like such an idiot. This was before I had been diagnosed.

lol!! sorry to laugh at you, but that was priceless. I'm sure it didn't seem so at the time though. Glad you finally found your keys.

I lose my keys all the time. Last time I tore my purse apart. I could hear them in there! btw, I have lots of large key fobs to make sure they are not easily misplaced. I finally could feel them through the cloth but coudln't figure out how they got inside. It finally took my dh to find the hole they had slipped through.

Hey! the car?? no luck

as i turn around there on the hook it's home has been for years there hangs a little blue hoodie with the smirking hello kitty staring right at me as if laughing.

Oh my gosh, we all do don't we. I remember before they diagnosed me with Fibro I thought I was losing my mind, I was so forgetful. But once I got diagnosed and learned about the fibro fog, I finally understood. I am much like SassyKitty in that I can't find my glasses half the time, more often than not there on my head. LOL
