I always record a doctor that is on television...Dr. Rosenfeld.  I just had the opportunity to watch the program I recorded and he was saying something very interesting.

He started talking about COQ10.  Our bodies manufacture that but he takes more of it...between 150-200 mg. a day.  He said that he does that because he takes a statin drug for cholesterol.  These lower the cholesterol but, by lowering the cholesterol, it also lowers the COQ10 in your body.  So, because the statin meds interfere with your body's production of COQ10, this predisposes you to muscle aches and cramps!

He said not all doctors think this way, but he does and he takes this daily.  He said it cannot hurt you.  So, you might talk to your doctor or pharmacist about this if you take a statin medication.  I take simvastatin (Zocor) so I know I will.

it cant hurt u is true, but it does have side effects. i got wicked heartburn constantly, so bad nothing touched it, so i had to stop. if you research you'll see that is not uncommon. having said that, it has helped a lot of people, including migraine sufferers, so it's definitely worth a try.

I take simavastatin also Sherrine. I will look into it. But I take graviola (an amazon herb) and they say when you take Q10 that they cancel eachother out. But I know that it is very helpful for us. Thanks for the wonderful info. I hope that you are having a wonderful day.

Many hugs, Karen

I heard about CoQ10 last year and tried it. It did nothing for me. I have heard it has helped others.

I've been using Co Q for about 3 years now on the recommendation of my heart specialist. I told him
I was taking Colustrum and Hylaronic Acid and he said the Co Q would be great for me. I had low
blood pressure and low heart rate. By using this I got rid of the toprol which regulated the heartbeats.
I no longer have chest pains which I was getting when I got real stressed out. I had allergy
testing done 2 years ago and by using all 3 the woman administering the 35 needles
said I had the tougest skin she had ever seen.
