Hi my hubby has been to 3 rheumy's so far and it so far they are all smug, have no bed side manner at all and don't want to listen.....you are lucky if they spend 5 minutes with you.....are they all from there own little planet or what? lol
Does anyone know of a good rheumy located in Phoenix, AZ or surrounding areas (Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale, PV etc)
Would be so greatful if anyone could recommend someone that they like.
Thanks so very much for your help :-)

Good luck. I have found that Rheumys are REALLY hard to get suggestions on. I mean the diseases and conditions they treat just arent of the general population! I have found a few "FMS" specialists on some FMS websites. There is one in my new area. But even that is just someone who pays to be recognized in the condition foundation. It doesnt mean they are wonderful Drs and will be a good fit.

Can I suggest going to City-Data? Look up the forums for your area and ask there. I did that for the area I am moving to and was told about a Dr I am going to try and get in to see shortly after I move. I want to do some more research.
If that doesnt work, you may have to talk to your GP. I do not need a referral, via insurance. However, some sought after specialists require it. I went to my GP, because he knew what was going on and when I had a problem with a DR he'd help me find a better fit. His staff worked hard to find me a decent DR. I really appreciated that and miss him and his staff!! Wish they could have moved with me!

The most frustrating thing about Dr's (for me) is one may have terrible bed side manners for one person and be a God send to the next!! I have seen several Dr's reccomended by people I knew and I mean HIGHLY reccomended. However, when i went in they were the biggest jerks and did nothing for me! However, I have been to some that people told me they HATED and I found to be really good and very polite. I dont what thats about!!! Different strokes for different folks!
