I seem to have lost it.

We started painting our family room Sun., I did the prep DH painted. He didn't have time Mon, Tues or today to paint. Having everything out of place drives me crazier so I decide this morning to paint some of the ceiling. The need to get it done over powered what little brain I have left. The first to hurt was my neck from looking up, then the hands, arms, shoulders and then back. Plus I almost fell off of a step stool and decided I was done. I figured I was already in a flare so how much worse could I get??? OMG, that is the dumbest thing I have done in a long time. shakehead But, I got enough painted to be able to take the plastic off of two windows so I can trim them tomorrow provided I can haul my sorry body out of bed. smilewinkgrin

I will lay here moaning and groaning tonight while watching TV but at least with a sense of satisfaction that I got something done today. turn I have a feeling tonight will be the night I try out the neurontin.

luv and hugs

Bad Marlee...bad bad Marlee! devil   You say the same thing we all  do.  I already ache from head to toe so what difference does it make?  Said that this summer when the belt on the tractor broke and I mowed about 3/4 of an acre with a push mower.  OMG.  Even my nose hairs hurt.

To make yourself feel better, I suggest you buy yourself a purse, as I know that is your passion.  The hubby can drive you.  And painting a ceiling....that is the worst!

Marlee,
So Sorry your hurting now, but I know how you feel. Sometimes we just can't stand to let things go any longer and we think we can finish. I'm great at doing the I dont feel to bad today so I'll attempt to clean the whole house and not be able to move for the next two days. But oh does it feel good to look at my house and have it fairly clean for awhile, but oh the pain. I don't know if we ever reach an equal balance. Good luck at finishing your new deco...My husband started wallpapering last fall, he finished the hallway so it looked decent for the holidays but still waiting for the rest to be done! (So it could be worse!) Treat yourself to something special!
Gentle Blessings
Deb

Marlee,

Oh the price we pay because we want things done now! I am the same way. Hate to let things sit half-way, so usually think I can get it done myself. It sounds like a good idea at the time, but it ends up being a disaster to our bodies!! Can you say....hot shower, heating pad, & pain med? lol

Hope you get to feeling better & your hubby finishes up, so you don't get anymore notions!!

Oh Marlee, what have you done? I think at some point we all do something crazy while we are flaring.
Something tells me you won't be painting tomorrow. Hope you can get the kinks out....Ouch!

Feel better soon!

Marlee, I think we all came from the same pod! smhair   No matter how much we know something could end up being a problem in our rational moments, that urge to get things going NOW is so powerful. The last time I painted the interior of my house, I had the pleasure of doing it by myself. Actually, the last several times, yeah me!! The worst part is always the ceiling. I can't hold my neck back or my shoulder up. Yet each time I start, I kinda forget that UNTIL I get to that point.

I would like to do my bedroom over, but I know that isn't going to happen on my shift and I don't want my dh getting into that.

I hope you are doing all the things tonight to feel better by morning, because you truly deserve a marvelous shopping spree, there is a purse just waiting for you. Hope you sleep well and feel better by morning. Good night, my friend.

God bless.  Alice.

It's a good thing my computer screen is at eye level cause I can barely move my head this morning. The rest of my body might hurt a little more than it has been but not much, I can feel it in my ribs. It's raining again this morning so I would be hurting anyway.

I have no patience when it comes to waiting for someone to do things for me, that's why I use to do it all myself before fibro. Living with everything out of place does not bother my DH one bit. If you don't need a shovel to clean house it doesn't need to be cleaned as far as he is concerned. Talking about opposites attracting smilewinkgrin

I won't be painting the ceiling today but I will be painting the walls and trimming. At least I hope, I haven't moved around much yet.

I think we all have to do the things we use to do before fibro sometimes to make ourselves feel somewhat normal even if we pay the price for it later. For me it was decorating my home.

Oh my dear Sherrine, thanks for your offer but you need both cells you have left.

I do believe I deserve a new handbag after that. devil

First, Donna, lol about even the nose hair hurting! I'm gonna tell hubby that one.

Now Marlee, we need to have a serious talk here, girlfriend. I recently fell and broke my arm because I was pretending to be a normal healthy person. So I am all over giving up my fantasy land pipe dream that I can do anything I want cause I can always rest the next day. Hah!

It's really hard to stay out of denial, but on the other hand, denial can kill us. And call me Cleopatra cause I'm de queen of de nile.

Feel better, hon, and DONTOVERDOIT TODAY lol

How are you feeling this afternoon Marlee? Did you get back into painting? Or did you go to town and get a new handbag? I hope the latter. I have many friends who collect purses. And that is the best gift that I can give them. A new purse and they are happy.

I hope that you are feeling better today. Let us know.

Hugs, Karen

The deep pain from my little painting trial starting setting in yesterday afternoon and I'm sure it will take a few days to go away, plus the rain isn't helping any.

You know the sad thing is if I would have had a little more patience I could have saved myself from the extra pain cause my dear sweet hubby took time off yesterday to finish the ceiling and most of the walls, or did he take off to do it to keep me from doing it and causing myself even more pain??? Good question, maybe I should attempt to do more myself and that would get him moving faster, hehehe. tongue

I'm sore but still moving and working, gotta get this mess put back together so we can start another room.
