k i think mine flared up again from moving boxes at work - then i lifted my 3 yr old and it won't heal.  anyway i played catch with my 16 yr old son last night with a football.  costo is on left side - i am a right hander.  feels flared up today.  think the football throwing uses your chest wall muscles?  my son swears it only uses my arm muscle.  i know better than that but wondering if it could affect the other side?  i also kicked the ball alot hard.  who knows - just sick of this pain!!  anyone ever take mobick for it?  never heard of it but my dr just recommended.  it's causing me alot of anxiety.  don't like this sternum/rib pain at all!!  i worry about it cause it keeps coming back. ugh!  i also just recently put my son on my feet to do the airplane ride.  ha  i think that really messes it up.  why won't it just heal?????  it's depressing!!!
is it normal to cause anxiety even if you know what it is?  i haven't had anything to rule out anything else - but been to 3 diff docs who by my symptoms think costo and maybe GERD. but GERD meds aren't affecting it much.  it's more of a dull ache than a burning like heartburn.
does  heat or cold help it better?  if you have dealt with this, please tell me your best ways to help it.  thanks!!!

I use ibuprofen with food for the discomfort.  There is a link in the Fibro 101 thread all about costochondritis.  That may help you.
