I wonder how many other people feel like I do.
I get up in the morning and I still feel tired (even though I'm on cpap) and feel irritable, moody and kind of out of it like in a fog.
Plus I have extra heartbeats with it sometimes.  Hate it

Hi Jazzmynn, Many fiberomites wake up not feeling refreshed and energized. Lot of us
deal with insomnia or unable to get the good REM sleep. The irritatibiliy can be a result
of that. i would check with the doc about the extra heartbeats.
Some of us have low Serotonin levels and that can also affect our moods.

Excercise helps me get my energy going. Before I even get out of bed I do some gentle
stretching. After my shower and breakfast I will work out with my "rubber bands", they are
resistance bands that help build some strength. I also have little hand weights I use to
build muscle. During the day I try to get a long walk in. Pacing yourself is very important.

Protein is very important to people with fibro because it builds muscle and helps maintain it.

Relaxation therapy is wonderful, it helps with the stress. I do deep breathing exercises.

My attitude helps me alot, I still have bad days but I always strive for the good.
Living with this illness can be frustrating but remember we are not our illness.

Robin sure wrote a great response! I can't add much except to tell you to be kind to yourself. Remember that you are doing the best you can with what you have and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. We have a guy who visits this forum occasionally and his signature says it all...

I always wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck, and talk about moody. No one in my house talks to me unless I talk first. Usually after a shower and coffee I feel alot better, but that first hour or so is a doozey. I always give myself plenty of time to wake up before having to get ready for work. I like having the extra time to sit and drink coffe and eat breakfast without being rushed. If my morning time is interupted I'm a bear. GRRR!!!!

I don't know if this will help any of you, but I will again tell of my savior. I've been taking Super Cissus RX,
Bio-Sil and Malic Acid. There is something about this trio in combination which has made a serious difference
in my life. I work in a 200 bed nursing home dish room and 7 hours on my feet on concrete. I went to the
herbal shop I go to and asked if they had anything that would help my knees as my surgery wasn't done right
and the pain was unbearable. I barely made it through the day without bawling. I got on the Super Cissus Rx
and the first night I SLEPT!!! I went back a week later and asked for something to build the callogen as my
knees crunched and popped badly and was given the Bio-Sil. I backed this up with the Malic Acid. The SC
rebuilds tendons, ligaments and muscles, the BS rebuilds callogen and the MA detoxes. In the first few months
I took my regular Dr drugs and noticed I needed less and less. I'm now starting month 7 on them and only
take a couple of doses of aleeve a month now. The SC has a built in painkiller. They are plants and NO side
effects. I've taken them with flexoril and darvacet and hydrocodone.
For the mood swings, I've noticed that because I wasn't in pain all of the time that I slept much better,
going into the deep REM mode. I even had a co-worker that I've worked with for 10 years ask if I
was on different meds as I wasn't so miserable all of the time.  It's been a big change for me. The
weather fronts still effect me with the arthritis and to get up better in the morning since my waterbed
blew up I have an electric blanket under my sheet. For me I like it on the highest setting. I find that the
body absorbs the heat and works better when I get up.
