Well add me to the list of swine fluers!! I got it 2 weeks ago and then it very excitingly developed into pneumonia!! YAY!! NOT! I have been sooooooo sick. I spent two weeks in bed. I just got off bed rest today and finished my antibiotics yesterday.
Anyways, I did see the DO is Mansfield, TX the day before I got sick. He gave me some advice on some suppliments to take, ran some more blood work and made some suggestions. I was supposed to go back this week to see him. However, after being sick for 2 weeks, I just am not up to going out of town to see a Dr (i live in OK, not Tx) just 3 weeks before our move to TN.
My lab work came back normal. Of course. He jsut double checked my thyroid and some vitamin levels, B and D. He siad that my hips seemed out of alignment and suggested they get manipulated to re-align them. He also suggested some physical therapy.
I'm not so sure... I have seen chiropractors, recently even and this has never been something that has come up. So I'm not discounting it, but I am not totally with that line of thinking either.
He did do a tender point test and again, I had maybe 2 tender points out of the 11 required for FMS diagnosis. He didnt really discount a FMS diagnosis, but didnt really feel that was something to look int either.
So I dont know...After getting really sick these last few weeks, I know something is up with my immune system and really want to try and find a Dr who will look more seriously in a Lupus possibility. I just have a very hard time getting over illnesses. My immune system is very week despite how hard I work at keeping it as strong as possible. Hopefully my move to Memphis will generate a great Dr who will really help me find a diagnosis and treatment!!
