Its been months since I've been on.  I have had many obsticals with my body and fibro.  I had alot of problems with my knees catching and unable to walk.  Well, we got the x-rays done and found out I have had broken knee caps. Then I went to the Rhuemy and I told her I've learned to live with fibro but I still have trouble with my hip.  She examined me and found that I had brusitis, so I got a cortizon shot which made my hip more flexable but I still get sharp pain.  I haven't been cleared to excercise, not even walking, and I am just watching the pounds come on.
I have to say I am proud of myself, the doctor said she hadn't seen anyone in her office with such a positive attitude with their fibro and was amazed that I only take 1 hydrochodone a day.  She said she could give people with fibro morphine and it still wouldn't touch the pain because of the type of pain it is.  I told her about this site and how its helped me to connect with other fibromyites, and understanding that certain things that happen are not just unique to me.  So with that I just want to say thankyou for this site.  It really does help when we need to understand and talk out our frustrations.  I also appreciate it because their are many times that it makes me laugh. And that, is good.  Blessings Denise

I'm sorry you have been having so many problems Denise.

I also told my doc about this great place where I come for support, when I found it over two years ago, and he was pleased that there is such a great place online for us. I feel sorry for the fibromites out there that don't have what we have here.

luv and hugs

Hi, Baloo!  It's good to see you again.  Two broken knee caps??? shocked    How did you manage to do that?  I'm so sorry you are going through this but you do know you are on the mend and will be better soon.  I hope the bursitis gets better for you, too.  Every once in a while fibro will hit my hip for maybe a half a day and that is extremely painful.  It's really bad when you can't walk but I'm not telling you something you don't already know!

Yes, this is a wonderful place to come and have people really understand what you are going through.  I know I was very happy when I found this site.  And, yes again, it's good to keep the positive attitude going!  It not only helps with the pain but it helps the people around you.  I read an article last night saying that having a positive attitude does raise the serotonin levels in the brain and that helps with pain and depression!  So, keep that smile on your face.  It's better than a pill...and cheaper, too!  turn

Good morning everyone, I wanted to say that having a hobby helps take your mind off some of the pain, if I didnt have my hobby of Boat building ( model boats ) I think I would go nuts, we are so broke that we have no TV and no phone all we can afford is the Internet and some times I just dont feel like using it so a hobby realy helps.
