So...I've made coffee with no water, no coffee...and once with no pot.  The hubby decided he was going to give up on the Lipator and take fish oil and a teaspoon of cinnamon a day as he read somewhere this combo is just as good as statin drugs.  I buy my spices at the dollar store.  Did you know that cinnamon and cayenne pepper have identical red lids and labels?  I decided to put a teaspoon of cinnamon in the coffee this morning. ..only just went by the lid color as I selected my yummy spice.

I put a heaping spoonful of cayenne in the coffee...didn't think the putrid stench of it brewing was anything more than something smoldering on the heating element.  Three sips and I thought he was gonna have a seizure.  Oh, my poor man.  I drink tea so I was spared the near death experience he suffered.  We have one of those permanent filters and I hope that it washes out.

How does he live with me...LOL!  BTW...know what happens when you wash a red leather wallet with white undies?  How did it even get there...I have no clue.  I may be duct taped to a chair soon, so if you don't hear from me...well.  You know.

You are something else, Donna!  I have extra duct tape I could send your hubby.  Maybe he could duct tape the entrance to your kitchen to keep you out of it.  It's better than duct taping you to a chair.

Oh my gosh!  This is so funny!  I iknow how to make duct tape wallets ( a boy scout skill taught to me by my sons ).  You could take some of that duct tape and make a new wallet to replace the one you washed!

Sherrine, if he duct taped the entrance to the kitchen, how on earth would I ever get to my monster bag of chocolate chips?  HMMM?

Donna, you are too much. Thanks for making me look at my own foibles and laugh instead of the alternatives!

And when hubby stops sneezing/ coughing, tell him he's a peach and lucky to have you! : )

Well, he did say he wanted to take cayenne, didn't he? tongue

That's too funny! I've started doing unusual things in the kitchen from time to time, too, and my husband is so confused by it. I just tell him my blond moments have merged with my senior moments.

Geez...now that I think about it I believe I made coffee a few months ago with Paprika instead of cinnamon.  Those red lids have got to go!

Choc, that is because she puts it in her morning coffee and then doesn't have an appetite the rest of the day!

My hubby once put a bunch of cayenne in the batter for his chicken fried steak when he meant to put in paprika!

Donna, all my spice lids are red. If I went by lid color, we would have poultry seasoning coffee one day, cumin another day and who knows what the days after that!!!

Great story!

Here's what you to do avoid this mistake in the future.........Take the can of cayenne and mark a big "C" on the lid. Then take the can of cinnamon and mark a big "C" on the lid. teeheehee............

For the record, I just made a cup of tea with no teabag. I added the milk, sugar and stirred the boiling water, brought it back to my den and thought... hmmm.
