So I went and saw the specialist yesterday. Took one of my friends with me, since I've never gone to a new doctor alone, and my mom had to work. So it was a good appt, he was very nice and didn't tell me I was just weird, or that I'm too young, or anything like that.
Went to see him because I've had a low grade fever for about
four months now, and my doctor couldn't figure it out after doing all the test that she could think of. After talking about
symptoms and other things that I've had and such, he thinks that I have something more than just fibro going on. He thinks there's a definite autoimmune problem that they haven't detected yet. And I have sinusitis, so he gave me antibiotics for that. And apparently there's scaring in my ears due to ear infections that I had as a kid, and he said my tonsils are huge lol
So again I get to run all sorts of tests.
I'm honestly tired of constant tests, but I really want to know what's going on. He doesn't think it's anything life threatening, but it could be something not fun.
I'm just nervous. A couple of the tests he wants to do have me a little unnerved, like the fact that he wants to to a tuberculosis test, and an HIV test,
I'm not likely to have either one but it's still unnerving, there's other tests he's doing that are more normal as well, but I'm just nervous, I want to know what's going on so I can feel better, but at the same time I'm afraid of them finding something that hurts my health more.
So yeah, nervous and yet relieved that there's possibly and answer to this fever and other random issues that I have.
