Hey you all,
Yesterday I ordered my stuff for the Christmas wreaths that I donate for the animal shelter.  Today John is out getting boughs.  So I am ready to go.
I may not be able to make as many as I did last year, but they said that they are happy with anything that I can do.
I got a call from the lady who runs it and I am going to be in the paper again this year.  So cool!!!
I just hope that I can do this.  I know that John will help me a lot and I will only have to decorate and make the swags.
I am so excited about this.
Hugs, Karen

I'm so glad to hear that you have found the time to do this.  I know it has meant a lot to you the past few years.  When you first came on the forum, you barely could do them but you made it through.  Now, look at you!  You are working and doing this!  What a huge improvement.  Your persistance has paid off, big time.  I'm very proud of you, Kido!

What a generous gift! I am sure the animal shelter appreciates your time and effort.

Hi Karen, Each yr I'm amazed how you get all those wreaths done for the shelter. I always imagine how lovely they are, when you are done. This yr you have really been extra busy w/ work and yet your kind heart is looking to help these poor animals in the shelter. I 'm sure the animals know they have a wonderful guardian angel looking out for them. Bless your good heart!

God bless.  Alice.

Good for you, and what a wonderful gift to help support all the animals that desperately need homes.

Hi Ladies,
Hey Karen, please fill me in! Whenever I hear anything about animals, I am all ears! Do you make these wreaths to sell and then donate the money to the shelter, or you make the wreaths for the shelters to have for the holidays??? I am curious! And, like the others, I think you are wonderful to be doing this. Anyone that does anything to help the homeless, human or animals, has a wonderful heart!
take care

Hi Karen,
It's good to see someone who helps out. I've never done anything for animals but do a lot for humans.
I've been saving soda cans from work for years. I go around everywhere and buy clearance stuff and donate
it at christmas time. I even made the front page of the Pall Times a few years ago for a big donation of
clothes and boots to Salvation Army. I found a few local families this year and will be donating to P-Cap
again this year (baby stuff). They were the first one to send a "thank you" card.....took me 9 years,
This is my 15th year and it feels real good to help others, even a nickle at a time.

What I do is make the wreaths, and donate them.  On the Christmas walk they sell them and collect the money.  The last few years I have donated over 400.00 worth.  I don't know if I will get that much done this year, but if I can anyway do 200.00, I will feel happy about it.  Anything helps.
Nana, that is cool what you do.  It is such a good feeling to help.
Everybody, thanks for the encouragement.  John went out and got me some boughs, so tomorrow, I will start on them.  If I have time.  I would like to.  I keep them in a cool area until the Christmas walk which is the 21st.  They will last that long as long as they stay cool.  The weeks go by so fast, it will be here in no time.  I hope that you all had a wonderful day.
Hugs, Karen
