I know sometimes we tend to blame things on the fms that aren't related. I  have bad foot pain. Especially the bottoms of my feet. Does anyone else have this problem and is it connected to the fms?

My feet hurt a lot.  I just assume it is from fibro.  I do wear ugly but very good walking shoes that I put gel inserts in.  The only other shoes I wear are SAS sandals that have a good arch support.  Heels are a thing of my past life. :-)

yeah, me too. But, I found cute shoes. You should check out Clarks Pr!vos. They are comfy and cute, too.

I can wear wedge heels once in awhile. The sole of the foot has to be thick. So they look like heels, but are not as high as they look. I found the cutest flat (with cushy support) boots at DSW. They were made by aerosoles.

Count me in also! I also need the bottoms to be soft but thick and cushiony. Otherwise I feel every pebble and grain of said, I swear! But it hurts if my feet aren't well protected.

How about the top of your head, anyone? What happens when you brush your hair out for a minute or two? Anyone else have the top of their head hurt also?

Just curious,
Chutz

Funny you mention that, Chutz, I just noticed this weekend that the top of my scalp is agony when I brush my hair.

My foot pain is plantar fasciitis, an inflammation of the tendon that runs along the bottom of the foot. I have stretches involving pulling my heel down on a stair step, and that helps, and wearing decent shoes.

I get pain in my feet, mostly in my heel. I have plantar fasciitis that causes this pain. You might want to go to a foot doctor about it.

Hi,

My major pain is the feet and so you know my doctor declares it is a big part of Fibro. Sue, thanks for the Clarks hint. so want to have shoes that look like shoes.

I have the fibro foot pain also. Recently started taking 2000 units of Vitamin D and I can't believe how much it has helped my foot pain and fibro in general. Give it a shot, can't hurt.

Hi Nanners.

Wow didn't connect D to my reduction in foot pain. I am on 4000 iu daily as I had such very low D. I am so much better and doctor says stay with the larger dose. Hey, if it helps and I monitor it regularly why not.

Thanks for the input. Patsie

Puppylover is Right about SAS shoes the best investment I have made. Also I have Plantar fascitis and other unknown foot pain but they are both related to Fibro as I understand it.
Hope you can find some releif soon. Try an epsom salt soak every evening. :)

I'm going to try the vitamin D. I bought some a few months ago, but was only taking about 800 mg. No wonder it wasn't helping. Thanks.

I have two types of foot pain. My heels hurt a lot from plantar fasciatis, but also the front part of my feet hurt bad, which I call fibro pain. It seems to be when the bones of the front part of the foot are stretched or flexed they hurt badly - agonizing!!! - but after a few steps the pain begins to fade. The heel pain is near constant when it acts up, which is why I dont' think it is fibro.

crazycatlady,
I have sketchers too. You should try Pr!vos. They are even better! I used to wear sketchers all the time and now I have 4 pairs of Pr!vos. they are awesome.

Yes Chutz, the top of my head hurts too. I attributed it to tugging on my hair out of frustration!

I ordered a pair of Privos from Zappos yesterday. Thanks for the hint. These look real cute.

My feet hurt so bad sometimes I can barely walk.  It hurts the bottoms of my feet and sometimes the ankles.  I can't flex my feet while walking when I get like this.  I look pretty funny walking at times.
