I found Reenie's first post buried in a long thread and wanted everyone to have a chance to meet her! Like the rest of us she is having a lot of pain as fall sets in. Maybe we can join in with one of our great Fibro Family welcomes and help her feel better!

Here's Reenie~~

I hadn't had a flair in so long I almost convinced myself it was gone! NOT!!! It is back with a vengense after a nasty case of the flu. The pain is different depending on where it is and it is worse in cold weather or rainy weather. My ribs feel like are mashed together in too small an area. My legs are probably the worst (I forget and say that about whatever hurts at the time)It's like restless leg syndrom and I get so frustrated. There is no way to go to sleep. I have 3 ruptured discs so my back hurts anyway but worse Im sure because of he Fibro. My arms and shoulders hurt like a toothache. Not unbearable but it just wont stop. Fibro headaches are worse than migraines. I've had both so I know. I dont get headaches often and Im thankful for that. My feet burn, tingle, and itch. I have soaked in hot water so much that my feet are craked and sore from that too. The exhaustion is probably the most frustrating. There is so much I want to do but hardly ever feel like it. If I do have a good day I overdo and pay for a week after. Other than that, Im good!

Hi Reenie, Welcome to our fibro family. You will find caring, loving and supportive people

Sorry to hear you are flaring, there is alot of flares going on right now because of changes
in the weather. Heat is a fibromites friend, I enjoy long hot soaks in the tub and long hot
showers. I use a heating pad and a bedbuddy too. Heat feels sooooooo good!!!

I do understand the exhaustion and overwhelming fatigue. Lot of us have insomnia, I'm one.
Having back issues makes it difficult to sleep sometimes. I did have back surgery and has

Regular exercise is important, it helps stress and helps with the stiffness and achiness.

If you haven't already do checkout fibro 101, first thread on top of the page one, there is
great information for fibromites.

Hope you will continue to post and ask questions, comment or vent. There is always someone
here who cares! Glad you have joined us.

Hi Renee. I too, had almost convinced myself I no longer had fibromyalgia. I should know better by now. I realized a few days that all the pain and exhaustion that was overwhelming me was an all out fms flare. Hadn't had one in a long time. Welcome to the forum. Sorry about your flare. God bless you.

Welcome Reenie - Nice to meet you. I ehar you about the restless legs - mine can twitch so hard! I take simenet _ i think that is how it is spelled, too tired to get up and read the label - but it helps so much with the legs. I hope you can find something to help you sleep better. It is hard enough to find the energy to do anything, being overtired doesn't help any!

Hi reenie, I'm in a year long flare. It is exhausting. I thought it was going to be this way forever but now that I've been here I've decided it's a flare. ;)

I agree about the headaches. Have u done a sleep study?

I have to know from u others..what is a bed buddy? I can't take baths & I desperately need heat.

You can make a cheap heat pack with two towels and some rice.
