Anyone take it?  I am going to try it and see if it works.  I hope I get some pain relief, and my mood improves.

This medication is the precursor to Lyrica and goes by the other med name of "Neurontin". Many have received great relief from it. Please monitor any side effects and keep a notebook with pain levels so you can report back to your doctor accurately. Good luck with this.

I've been taking gabapentin for about 1 yr, not for fibro though. It has done wonders to relieve the muscle spasms in my neck & shoulder areas. I never noticed any side effects but everyone is different. My doctor also increased my dosage when I had a shingles outbreak. Gabapentin (Neurontin) is for nerve pain. Hope it helps and you get some relief from it.

Gabapentin has not worked for me and I have had to switch back to lyrica. After 6 months of working on medication cocktails I dont think i have gotten any better. I have heard that the medicine has worked well with other Fibro patients so give it a fair shot and if it does not work talk to your doctor about other soulutions.

It tried it at two different times in the last 10 years at different doses. But the side effects were too bad for me to continue. I also did not receive much benefit from it. Lyrica made my eyesight very very blurry so that too was a dud for me. Jazzmyn we are all different so somethings work for some while others do not.
I currently take tramadol, flexeril, effexor xr, zanax, trazadone, topamax and this is alright for me. May try Savella in future.
Good luck to you on your journey and hope you find relief soon.
