Hi! I used to post on here a lot and always found it to be a valuable resource for me. I then went through a divorce and got kind of caught up in life. I can't remember what my login was.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2006. I am a 27 year old mother of three. At the moment I am 29 weeks pregnant with twins, but throughout the pregnancy I have had no issues with my fibro, until now. I am already having a very complicated pregnancy. It was like someone turned the fibro switch back on in my body last night. I am right back to where I was. My legs hurt so bad that they will not hold my weight today. I was up all night with terrible legs cramps, and all the joints in my body seem to be screaming at once. So I just wanted to say hi and come back to the forum for support again. I refuse to back on my pains meds while pregnant. It should be a very interesting 7 weeks for me if this keeps up.

Hi Mom and welcome back. I did not have fibro when I was pregnant and don't have twins but I would imagine carrying twins would put a double strain on your whole body with or without fibro. Have you read the fibro 101 thread at the top of the page??? There is a great deal of info in it including stretching exercises that may help if you are allowed to do them. I can see why your legs would hurt with all the extra pressure and weight pushing down on everything.

I hope your getting plenty of rest and help with your other children.

Hopefully, someone may have gone through what you are going through that may be of more help on here.

luv and hugs

Hi, Mom, and welcome back!  A big congrats on the twins.  You sure will have your hands full in a few months but the joy children bring is worth it.

You might try the stretching exercises, as Marlee suggested or perhaps you could get a massage.  The therapists, many times have chairs you sit in and lean forward.  If nothing else you could have your legs massaged.  It gets the blood flowing.  I know that this helps me a lot.

I'm glad you have returned and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks for the welcome :) Oh yes I rest, a lot. My older childrens' father has graciously taken custody of them for the time being due to the fact that I am on strict bed rest. I am on a terbutaline pump for preterm labor. Little guys just don't want to stay put and we are constantly fighting off labor at this point. I am wondering if all the preterm labor meds set off my symptoms. At the moment I cannot even stretch my legs fully without getting those awful toe curling cramps. I have gained a lot of weight very quickly with these two and I know that is not helping. If I can keep them in 7 more weeks I will have healthy full term babies.

Thanks for the advice...I am sure I will be on here a lot as I really have nothing else to do lol.
