Hi Enchant and welcome. I tried neurontin for a short time but didn't like the way it made me feel but I have a bad medphobia and anything that makes me feel the least bit weird I won't take. I take a little vicodin when it is really bad, tylenol and amitriptyline for the pain. I'm far from being pain free, actually our weather is changing and I feel like every muscle in my body has shrunk two sizes too small for my body tonight. I have a great massage showerhead that I love and already did that once. That burning pain is the worse and I don't have it too often thankfully.
I have allergies to everything green, dust, mold, cats and horses but not to all the things you are allergic to.
Read the fibro 101 thread, first on first page, it contains a lot of great info about many different things. Heat is our best friend in about any form. Some have bed buddies and some make their own out of long tube socks filled with uncooked rice and tie the end shut put it in the microwave a few minutes.
I'm sure you will get plenty of advice from others so stick with us and we will try to help you.
luv and hugs
