Okay chip in and add your verses:

T'was the night before Christmas
When all thorough the house
Not a creature was stirring
'Cause fibro mom was passed out,

The stockings were hung,
By the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Pain relief,
Soon would be there

The children were playing,
Far away from their beds,
Knowing full well she'd awaken,
After hearing Santa's sleigh bells,

Mom was dressed in soft flannel,
As dad drank his nightcap,
Checking out the kid's game toys
Before his late night nap,

When, all of a sudden
I heard a great crash.
I jumped out of bed
and took off like a dash!

But Sabra was sleeping
right on the floor.
I tripped and I fell
Right out the front door

I slid down the steps
like a sled on a hill.
And landed on Santa
when he screamed it was shrill.

"Oh. my back it's way out of whack
Who's going to carry this toy sack
You're going to help me deliver these toys
We can't dissapoint all the girls and the boys"

"Santa, I'll help you, I'll help you, I will
but let me go get us some Flexeril
Do you have time for a soak in the tub
or maybe a massage or liniment rub"

"No, I'm too busy, too much to do
Mrs. Claus will massage me when I'm all through
then she will throw on a snuggie over her dress
we'll take a long walk to get rid of stress"

So we got in his sleigh and flew out of sight,
we're going to bring toys to children and to parents a painfree night.
We took off in his sleigh,
but the ride was quite bumpy.
And when we first landed,
my body felt grumpy.
But we did all the houses
and went back to mine.
And seeing all the lights
was too great of a shine.

With sore fingers and hands I climbed from the sled-
All I wanted was Tramadol, bath, and my bed.
"I don't know how you do it, each year upon year,"
I said to old Claus, as I rubbed my sore rear,

"but I've got cookies and milk by the hearth just for you.
Vesta baked them herself, and they're edible too!"
Santa grinned, "Plastic wrapping is useful - I'm just not a consumer.
You fibromites sure have a good sense of humor."

Tis five days til Christmas her head feels like it is in a vice
she is making list and checking them twice
she was on a schedule and doing so well
but all the last minute things can be he&*
she keeps saying a little prayer over and over
don't let anything go wrong so we can get this over
don't let anyone get sick, don't let the weather get bad
if we have to postpone Christmas she will be soooo sad
she has to have energy, she can't go into a flare
what happens after the 21st she don't really care
cause Santa will have come and given out the toys
to the little girls and all the little boys
who are the ones she does this for
cause she couldn't love them more

I could have dusted and vacuumed a room in the time it took to write that.turn

luv and hugs

We have to have humor

To handle this pain,

And the fibro fog stumps us

Who are you, again?

Oh!  Santa, that' right!

I remember you now.

I slid into your tummy

Just like a snow plow!

There are gifts on the ground!

Santa said,  I'm not done.

I'd love to have cookies

But I do have to run.

I'd help pick up gifts,

Throw them over my shoulder.

But with weak, fibro arms

They would feel just like big boulders

So, you will, dear Santa

Have to load up your sleigh,

While I stand here and watch.

I'll stay out of your way.
