So many of us a flaring and having trouble with The Fog as winter rolls in in a merciless fury.  Let us keep our minds active and functioning at a the level of a sack of door knobs...at the very least.  Okay.

You are making four dozen cookies for a loved one to take to work for a party.  After taking the plastic off the cookie dough roll as it is clearly marked 'remove cellophane wrapping from the tube before baking', how many will end up in the trash can burnt to a smoldering pile of ashes, and how many will be packed in the lovely Christmas tin wrapped in tissue paper?  (No comment please, about the store bought cookie dough...the days of home made hockey pucks are over).  Think carefully, shake away the fog and see if you can come up with the correct answer.

Todays Horoscope:  You are a kind and sensative fibromite and will push yourself to the limit to help others.  Your taste in fibro -wear is impecable and your creative and sylish combo's will be featured in Fibro Stinks magazine in the near future. If you look inside your warm fuzzy left slipper you will find a nickel which is the reason your toe has been in a cramp for two weeks.   But beware.  Today, while cat napping in your recliner, someone will come up behind you and clang two pot lids together.  Oh, what a knee slapper.   Your lucky number is 78,906.

Donna,
I have been watching your posts and I think you've "gone 'round the bend..."

You are beyond silly but it's refreshing to see someone who mocks this disorder.

Although you can still type, Donna, I'm not sure you're actually functioning. Still funny, though.

Oh, oh!  I got it.  You will have no cookies in the tin because they were reduced to ashes when you forgot to set the timer and, of course, you forgot that you were baking cookies.  Your smoke alarm alerted you that the cookies were EXTREMELY done!  Is that the correct answer?  devil

Sherrine....your answer is almost correct.  I did not forget to set the timer, I just set it for twenty two minutes instead of twelve as the numbers one and two are so close together on the stove panel.  I did this twice because I am a slow learner.  The answer is 11 cookies were fit for consumption.  I even had to throw away the cookie sheet as it looked like it had been in a barn fire.  Sweet.

Donna, the answer, of course, for me is none. Je refuse to bake for anyone this year except moi. I'm going to eat all the cookies myself, so please don't bother with the nice tin and fluffy paper! Just hand me my glass of milk and handful of meds to go with my cookies!

Then you go to Trader Joe's and buy Peppermint Joe Joe's because even thought they don't cure fibro, they are worth the trip.

my dear you are an angle.. I'm sure..

As I was just sitting here at my  desk and computer waiting on the calls from work to start rolling in , and the psycho customers concerned about there Christmas orders , freaking out because they waited so long to place a catalog order and wonder why it wont make there is time for Christmas... specially the personalized items that take 21 days. .. ( evil sinkers ) Mind you remember I work from home now days ... you  know since the big Fibro. thing came in my life.. ( another evil snicker Lord knows why )

With tears rolling down my face. praying God to not let anybody be up yet to call in. because I , right now cant deal with these people. or the call at all.. tears hot and rolling down my face. having to already take another pain med. as the ones I took just tow hours ago.. did not even touch it this morning. I know I know bad me. but I really just can't call out again . last month I called out 4 1/2 days . even with FMLA that's  lot no Sick or vacation time left to cover my check. so here I sit. ... I am just so sick of hurting , and don't know how to carry on. I really , right now just want to lay back down and cry myself to sleep. ... but I must carry on. and must find a way to be positive.. for my family if nothing else. Ok Ok.. no more feeling sorry for myself from me today ..

I see that you posted this and think.. Oh cool. you always put a smile on my face. and seems to help more than you know my dear.. more than you know.

I love the thing about the nickel in my slipper.. LOL.. I was wondering why that one toe was hurting so much and the one toe just seemed to be cold all the time too... Hu go figure . Right. mind you  I did just look inside my slippers.

oh and the cookies.. ya so right .. I used to try to burn some for my honey ..anymore. I don't have to try. we are lucky if some turn out soft batch like I like them..

anyway ... Thanks honey for always being so positive .. you  truly are an angle for us all.. Thanks . and great big hugs.

Spirit ~

cookies??!! Where are the cookies? Set off the smoke alarm the other day because I started soup stock in a pan on the stove, moved the stock from the pan to the crockpot, put the empty pan back on the stove and turned the stove on. When the smoke alarm went off I couldnt figure out the problem - saw the empty pan cooking away. . . .

Statgeek reminded me of why my smoke alarm didn't go off as my cookies baked into charred cinders...I pulled out the battery the last time I backed a chicken with saran wrap instead of aluminum foil and forgot to put it back in...thanks Stat for the reminder!

Holy cow Donna. That totally reminds me what I did last week. I locked my keys in my car. When I got out to my car, I had also left my lights on. I got the hideakey out (it has a combination) and got out my keys and turned off the lights. The hideakey was grimy and the combination was sticking, so I put it on my floorboard to bring into the house and clean it up that night. Then on my way home from work, I locked my keys in my car and my lights on again! This time I had to call a tow truck and waited almost 2 hours in the rain and cold. Fortunately I was at a lit gas station and the employees there let me use their phone because my phone was in my car with my keys and my hideakey.
