I'm always so very careful to use the little electric carts when I shop but with so many shoppers in the stores right now they are often all gone or all out of juice. So yesterday I completed my Christmas list in one day, but I was pushing the shopping cart with the little granddaughter in it the whole time.

Fast forward to 2:30 AM... I'm jumping out of bed doing the Hokey Pokey!!! I had forgotten about these dumb leg cramps. So if you are out and about shopping be sure to break it up into several days or you'll be doing the Nighttime Leg Cramp dances with me.

Jeannie I'm sorry about the leg cramps but you should have known better, what were you thinking woman??? shakehead I've not had that happen, yet. Have you noticed how easy it is to push the cart when you first start shopping and the fuller it gets the harder it is and the tireder you get? I haven't shopped with a toddler in the cart for quite awhile.

Hope they are gone now.

luv and hugs

Doing much better, thanks! Now I just have about 14 cakes to bake and I'm good until tomorrow morning when I have to decorate them all.

14 in one day? How do you manage? yikes, you are one brave woman!
I saw your cakes last summer when someone had posted a link to your site. You do beautiful work! Are these all wedding cakes you are working on right now, or are some for the holidays?

Glad you are feeling better! :)

My husband injured his leg a month ago and needed a motorized cart at Costco. We ended up trying to shop 4 times in one week because either no cart was available or they were on the chargers. We went during the week at all different times yet we could not get a motorized cart. The store was not crowded, we were not trying to shop at the busy times of the day. An employee told me that they get a lot of complaints because they don't have nearly enough carts and it's common for some people to come back a few times a week to try to shop.

I complained to the manager and was told that the carts were in high demand and there wasn't anything they could do about it. I told him that my impression was that Costco did not want disabled people to shop in their stores because they were not making an effort to meet the needs of their customers. I followed up with a (very polite) letter but I haven't' heard back from them.

I am going to send them one more letter and if I don't get a response, I will not renew my membership when it expires.

about the cakes~ Couple of birthday ones, a rehearsal dinner cake that was a Notre Dame football and then the wedding ones. This was a small weekend so I got it done early. And yes, I sit while I decorate in a draftman's chair.

Dagger~ I let my Costco membership go partly because they have too few carts and also because I find that Sam's has more of what I need for my business... And Sam's is almost NEVER out of carts.

about the leg cramps, Spirit, I believe I've been a bit behind in my calcium and potassium intake and with the meds I'm on I should pay better attention. I often have these cramps when I haven't done my stretches or yoga in a while and then overdo with the walking and such. Time to get back on track and do as I'm supposed to.
