This weather is killing me. I'm hurting all the time now it seems. But my question is I have just now started experiencing the pain in my fingers and feet, I wondered what anyone else that has had this type of pain for awhile does to sooth the pain? I know when its my back or neck my bean sack helps when I put it in the microwave, but do you do that for hands too?

I do keep my hands and feet warm.  If your hands are really aching, why not use the bed buddy!  Running my hands under really warm water helps, too, and then I slather them with lotion.  Just moving the fingers to rub the lotion is good and helps keep the flexibility in your hands.

I have a tight pair of leather gloves that I like to wear when my hands ache. I find the pressure on them helps. I also have to keep my hands warm, no more goign out without gloves for me! I've come close to asking dh to rub my hands with lotion (like he used to do my feet when I was pregnant), but I don't want to bother him. Maybe if it gets bad enough I will.
fibromyalgia and possible trigeminal neuralgia
50 mgs amitriptyline daily, T3s for facial pain (really not appropriate med) and now tramacet

Hope,
Hot water helps. I also like to use topricin or DMSO. They're herbal external pain
killers without the smell of stuff like Blue Emu. Copper magnet bracelets help a lot
with the fingers. I've had it their for many many years and used the bracelets for a long
time. Gin and raisins is a cheap help. Golden raisins soaked in generic gin for a week,
take 9 a day.

Hope, I also get really, really terrible pain in my fingers- in the bones, on and under the skin, even the finger tips so painful I can't touch anything. I also run my hands under hot water. I have a pair of Isotoner gloves that I wear when the hands act up. The fabric is snug but will not cut off circulation, and provides a gentle stretchy pressure that is supportive. I got mine on EBay for more than half off. THEN with my gloves on I will sit quietly with my largest hot bed buddy full of rice and beans draped across my hands.

Monica, Have you noticed any color changes in your hands or feet, turning blue, white or
red? If so it could be Raynauds. I take Diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker to help with
circulation and it helps with the pain.
