If you have been reading my posts im sorry if this is a little redundant. I was wondering if you guys think i should wait to call or if i should just call my dr tomorrow? my pain is still horrible. By tomorrow it will be 6 days on the lyrica. Should i just suck it up and and try to get through the pain in hopes that it will eventually stop? I have already complained 2xs last week after my appointment on mon. I dont want to be a pita but what do i do? Really i am at my wits end and want to scream. I so badly wish to just curl into a ball and lay with my bf and cry myself to sleep. No one should have to feel like this. My face has started to have this burning/pinching pain and thankfully for the moment its subsided! I cant talk to those around me cause they just dont understand the EXTENT to the pain they think its just normal everyday aches and pains. I mean they do try to understand but unless u really know theres only so much understanding you can do. so i figured who better to ask than my wonderful new fibro family??!!

I know it is frustrating, but try to give it a little while. I think this weather change has brought on alot of pain for everone. I have cried myself to sleep many times the last 2 or 3 weeks and then cry again when I wake up and it is still there. I am not sure there is anything they can do. I usually take hydrocodone for my other back issues and even have some oxycodone, unfortunatly neither of them are working for this freaking fibro pain. This is worse pain than the spinal arthritis and other crap. I hate that woman on that stupid lyrica commercial, she acts like it is a miracle drug and just look at her, she don't loo like she gained 30 lbs. Lyrica did help me, at least for a while. It just takes a little time, please try to be patient. I haven't even done my christmas shopping, just haven't felt like it. We shall get through this one too, and yes there will be more. We can come here and complain and whine and rant out way through it, at least here everyone knows what it feels like. They need to put real people on those commercials, show them crying theirselves to sleep. They need to tell it like it is, not just "widespread muslce pain". This is miserable and like you said, no one can truly understand unless they feel it. Keep a notebook and write down your pain levels and activities each day, take that with you when you go back. I would give it a few more days at least and keep on in the notebook, then the dr can see how the pain is effecting your daily activities. I wish there was a simple answer, I just haven't found much that helps other than heating pad and hot baths. The only other thing that has done some good was tizanadine, a muscle relaxer. Only thing is it makes me sleepy, maybe we can go into hibernation for the winter.........

I have been looking and from what I have read lyrica may help in as little time as a week, but can take a couple weeks. It does say that if you seem to be getting more depressed then to call the dr. If you do feel that, then I would call. I hope it works for you, have you tried neourontin or savella? I haven't tried savella yet, may do that later on.

I am on Savella and it took 7 weeks before it kicked in. I almost quit taking it the week
before. Hang in there! One day at a time! Hoping you find relief very soon!!!

Thanks everyone. I have started a pain journal on fri or thurs i think. But didnt think about putting down activities. Ive been doing pain scale and type of pain. Ill start adding the activities too. There is one fibro commercial that i dont mind and it is the one with those suffering explaining this all too real condition and some of them crying! I have been on neurontin for almost a yr and a half and its for mental issues so i would assume its not heling with my pain. But of course i wouldnt want to come off it to find out otherwise since im already in a ton of pain. Baths are truly wonderful but hard 2 come by when 4 ppl live here so i take it before bed when i do and i love bath time! Thankfully after yesterdays mix of crap (lol) todays weather is warmer so i hope itll provide relief. I just wish they could figure something out. Im almost tempted to start my own research lol

Dear finding the light
Are you really taking both neurontin and lyrica? They are practically the same. I can't imagine taking both.
I can't get by with just neurontin (100 mg TID). I need my tramadol too.

I think the stress of the holidays and weather changes is getting to a lot of us. If your already taking meds try to relax and find something to do to take your mind off the pain. Keep trying heat, stretching and all the other comfy things we do for the pain and hopefully things will get better for all.

I'm not on lyrica but I'm not a fan of the commercials.

luv and hugs

Yeah i know i dont totally get it either but hoping to get some form of relief. I was put on neurontin a while back for my anxiety n irritability. And helps so much. I take 600 mgs 3xs a day. I feel a little different today. Im still in a ton of pain and tired and what not but i feel idk maybe emotionally better? i cant quite pinpoint it. But ya my pain level is at probably about 7 or 8
