I went to the Rhumatologist on Friday and got the news that she did not think that I have RA or Lupus.  She thinks the reason I feel the way I do is because of a number of reasons which could include Fibro.  She wants me to do stretching and lose weight.  She tested my thyroid to see if the numbers were off (I already have Hypothyroidism).  It came back high.  Normal is between 1-5 (I feel best at the lower end of normal) and it was an 8.  My question is can symptoms of Fibro mimic symptoms of Fibro?  Can it make you feel just as crappy?  Could my hypothyroidism be cooking all this time and that is what is wrong with me?  Sorry for the rambling.  Thanks for reading and information

Lisa, a lot of people with fibro have hypothyroidism.  I'm on the border.  Some times I check out normal and other times I check out that I have hypothyroidism.  So, that's not unusual.  You do want to take care of any health issues that make you feel lousy then what's left is fibro!  turn   Seriously, there are so many weird symptoms with fibro that it's hard to tell.  I get regular check-up...actually my doctor sees me every 3 months.  He keeps tabs on everything.

Although accepting a fibro dx is tough it's much better than the Lupus/RA dx's. You can work your way through fibro, the other two not so much. Good luck with this.
