For all of us who are snowed in and feel our brains turning to oatmeal, here is a little  excerise to keep the blood flowing.

Two fibromites, Helen and Stella are standing in different K-Mart parking lots at opposite ends of the country.  Helen is in Oakland California and Stella is in Boss MA.  Helen is wearing an Abercrombie and Fitch hoodie and sweat pants.  Stella, her faux whale blubber parka and Timberland boots.  Both have sock caps pulled over their ears.   Helen has a 15 MPH wind at her back.  Stella has greased up the soles of her boots with KY jelly.  Both will take 78 pee breaks...45 stops at Carvel and will ask for directions 3789 times.   So.  If both start walking towards Lincoln Nebraska at the rate of two feet per minute, which one will get to Lincoln K-Mart first, and what time will it be when the winner gets there, EST. (take into consideration that it will take Stella much longer to pee as she is dressed in fifteen layers...yet Helen consumes her food at a slower rate.) Oh, and no hitch hiking, hopping a rail or catching the wake from an 18 wheeler allowed.

The correct answer will get you a subscription to "Fibro Bites and So Does My Dog' magazine and the new and improved Sunbeam heating pad with 24 settings a 2 week warantee.

P.S.  Please humor me.  We have a four foot chain link fence in our back yard and my dog can walk over it into our neigbors property from all the snow.  I see my little town made the national news yesterday...Oh, the owie!

My money's on Stella. Any fibromite who is able to actually survive the brutal winters in MA must be made of some really strong stuff. :)

Stella will arrive sooner.  She is the hearty type plus it is 1,490.43 miles from Boston to Lincoln.  Poor Helen will try her best, but she has to go 1,611.23 miles to get from Oakland to Lincoln.  That extra 120.8 miles will be her undoing.  But, I really don't think she would care since she would be 243 years old by the time she got there.  devil   But then again, they both have fibrofog so they could be just wandering around the streets of their towns for years and years and years......

Sherrine...You, my dear, are the winner!  Exactly right!  Your magazine will be arriving daily in the mail...each edition is only about 400 pages long so you will have something exciting to read every single day for the rest of forever!

My guess would be that anyone who can walk that far doesn't have fibromyalgia!

Judy...THAT was the 'real answer', however my dear friend Sherrine spent so much time with a calculator and was actually  able to recall some of her high school physics equations so I only felt is was fair to give her the prize...  Which I know she will enjoy from  cover to cover.

No need to thank me, Sherrine....the pleasure is all mine.devil

I'm sitting here watching it snow and blow and there is something about that, that makes my body not want to get up and do the hard surface floors that need to be vacuumed and mopped terribly.

I had the answer but Sherrine beat me to it. devil

Do you know how much snow, very fluffy snow, an 11 lb and 12 lb long haired dogs can carry in every time they go out and run through it cause they think it is fun and the poor babies are bored out of their minds???

Donna, I don't watch the news so how much snow do you have???

DH is at the grocery store before the winds pick up to 35 to 40 miles an hour. He has 4-wheel drive I don't.

luv and hugs

Gee, thanks, Donna!  Only 400 pages?  There really are only 10 pages per edition.  The rest of the pages are filled with advertisements for Lyrica, Savella, and all their side affects!  I'm sure they threw in a little ad for Cialis, too!  devil

Marlee...the news says Syracuse and the 'surrounding area' got 50 inches.  I believe it.  It's over my  dog's head as he tries to plow through the yard.  UGH... and there is more on the way.

WOW!!! I have a neighbor that loves shoveling snow so he and his 5 yr old son cleaned our drive, porch and sidewalk. I think there is something wrong with him, who in their right mind gets out and shovels snow when it is snowing and blowing??? I'll see if I can get him to go to NY and shovel your's Donna. smilewinkgrin

No advertisements for Bed Buddies or massage cushions Sherrine??? Oh yeah, Dr. Franks magic cure???

I have cleaned up 10 gal of water off the floors from the girls frolicking in the snow. At least I got the floors mopped.

Vesta,
Did we really make the national news? I called in Sunday because they never plowed my road.
At 4 in the morning there was 1 1/2 feet in it. By Sunday nite on my man's side of the driveway
it was all the way from the road up to the back window in his car. I have a pix I took last nite
after shoveling that shows the banks by the road are taller than my Izuzu Rodeo. I am soooo
tired of shoveling. Today was the first reprieve we've gotten and hopefully it'll last for more than
a day.
