It has been really cold here lately too.  Suppose to warm up here starting the weekend.  I hope that it does for you too.

I know it is hard on all of us.  I hope that you are feeling better soon and that you can feel your butt.  lol...

How long has it been since you have been out Donna??? I do believe it is getting to you and it would me too. I am going to venture out today just cause I haven't been out since Tues. We still have a little wind and flurries but much better than yesterday even though all the schools are closed again today.

It's 19 now but suppose to be colder tomorrow and Sun., I don't even want to look at next weeks forecast yet.

luv and hugs

Marlee...we actually got a small break in the weather and went out for a bite to eat last night.  It was freezing the the restaurant but that's because every time someone opened the door, ice cold air would blast in.  I don't think I've ever spent this much time posting on the forum!  I'm glad it's here cause I don't wanna cleaneyes.  Nope.

Donnna, I'm also shouting %$@!*^! I think I froze my butt off.
Hoping we all get a heat wave! Winter should not hurt.

It's freezing in Arkansas only 11, but no snow to deal with, so that's good.

Miriam,

My dog comes in with her nose covered in snow.  I don't know what there is about it, but they love to shovel with their noses.

As for the butt, maybe I should go outside, the sun is out and is shining in my window.  A glimmer of hope.

Have a great day,

Come on up here for a visit, Sherrine...your fanny fat, arm flab and turkey neck will be frozen off in a New York Minute!  Maybe I should invite eveyone who wants to loose wait to spend a few days at my house.  You can shiver away all those extra pounds and...and...clean my house while you're here?  Huh?  Bring your medicinal rum, Sherrine.  Don't want our blood to run cold...

Hi Vesta,
What do you mean SNOW?? I called in on Sunday because we had a foot and a half in the road
with blowing and drifting. With open fields on either side of me I decided not to chance ditching my
car. Just because Oswego didn't get much doesn't mean we didn't get socked in Hannibal. If I'm
not mistaking, you're in the same band that hits my house. Sunday alone I shoveled 5' out of the
end of my driveway. Is it ever gonna stop????
Take care if you go out as I see it's snowing again and I'll shovel before I go to bed as it will
be less to deal with in the morning. Love these roads.......NOT!!!

You are going to hate me lots. I live in Queensland Australia and at present we have temps in the high 90's and our winters we only get frosts here where I live in winter. It has been wet here for the last few weeks so even the nights are nice to sleep when it gets really hot the nights get too hot to sleep.  I really hate the cold so I am glad I live in such a warm place. wink

Nana, want to rent my neighbor he loves to scoop snow and even took a scraper and got the ice off our drive yesterday in the blowing snow. Bless this man and his 5 yr old son cause my hubby isn't crazy about doing anything that sounds like work around the house. I will have to give him credit for keeping the patio cleaned off enough so we don't loose the girls out there. Bichons and Shih Tzus love plowing through the snow too and chasing each other.

I'm glad you got out long enough to eat Donna. I live in a town of 18 or 19,000 and the budget for cleaning snow off the streets must be $100.00 a year.  I thought if I could make it a block to Old Route 66 today I would have it made, wrong, it was still snow packed but I made it to Walmart. You know if I go too long without going somewhere to shop I start having withdrawl and it's not pretty. smilewinkgrin

If I thought there was a chance of freezing off belly fat I would bare it and stand outside for an hour. Sure I would end up in the ER for frost bite on the belly. sad

Sherrine you are more than welcome to come stay with me and turn the furnace up as high as it takes for you to get warm. I can't imagine not being prepared for the weather your having. At least here we know it's going to get cold and can stay that way for weeks. The catch is I get to come stay with you the rest of the winter when it warms back up in Fl.

luv and hugs

NM...my son lives on West Lake road off Perry Hill and said the snow is as deep there as it is at my house.  I told the hubby we should have moved about ten miles farther south...they don't get half as much as we do, even in B'ville.  I had to scoop the snow from around the mail box this morning.  The drifts from the snow plow had buried it completely.  You know how the hubby gets when he doesn't get his forty catalogs a day!  Drive carefully...the back roads are nasty!

Vesta,
Yeah, I know Perry Hill. It is sooooo dangerous. It seems like there is this dividing line between
Ontario Orchards and Oley's. I either drive into crap or out of crap. I have seen so much
ditch fodder along that stretch of road. I'm off a sideroad by Woodmizer on 104.
That hill scares the bejeezes out of me and I've been driving it for years.

I don't know what has gone on in the last few years but the plowing (or lack thereof) has disintrigrated.
On weekends it seems like they don't expect people to have to work but in health care there are
no days off.

I just went out and scraped another 2" out of the driveway. Gonna hit the hay soon as 4 comes
real early. Keep warm and safe. :-)
