Here's a bit of a twist on a familiar word game. We're going to make short stories with words that the person above us has written...HUH???...lol

OK, One person posts three specific things, like:
1. a pair of slippers
2. a pocket watch
3. cheesecake

The next person writes a short story (or poem) using all three of those items:

I bought a new pair of slippers, took them home and began to put them on. I couldn't get my foot into the left one because something was in there!! And you know what is was??? Surprise...it was the piece of cheesecake I lost after my birthday party last month! shocked Was I ever shocked. So instead of eating it I checked my pocket watch, put it in the other slipper and went to bed. (and the slippers lived happily ever after)

~~~
OK, my three words for the next person are...
1) stalk of celery
2) police car
3) orchid plant
Have fun....
During a particularly mean-spirited fight over Thanksgiving day dinner preparation, Sid and Nancy started a food fight. As Nancy screamed, "Hands off the turkey you cretinous butt-head", she picked up whatever was closest to hand, and threw a stalk of celery at Sid. Sadly, it missed his head, and sailed directly over him to hit his prized orchid plant, which he had been babying and fussing over for the past six months.
Sid screamed like a three-year old, and crumpled to the floor, dissolving into tears. Nancy, devastated by the mistake and her spouse's reaction, started screaming incoherently. The orchid lay on the floor with Sid, soil scattered on the tile, and the flower's stem bent like a twig.
After the police car left the premises, Sid still lay on the floor, clutching his orchid and moaning incoherently. Nancy has given up trying to comfort him, and steps over him as she finishes preparing the stuffing to get the bird in the oven. After all, the family arrives at noon.
1. a cat
2. a stuffed bear
3. a banana
Once there was a stray cat who lived in an alley in New York City.  The cats name was Ely.  Ely was born with the ability to bring stuffed animals to life.  It was rare that he got to use his ability since he was just an alley cat and hardly ever came into contact with stuffed animals.  NYC was going through a particularly rainy period and parts of the city were starting to flood.  Ely had made up his mind that he was going to find higher ground and a place to stay indoors for a few days until the weather started clearing.
Ely made his way uptown until he came to a toy store.  It was quite a store, three stories high and a very grand sight.  He saw people coming and going very quickly in and out of the store trying to get out of the rain and he snuck past several people and everyone was so busy scurrying about noone noticed him.  He made his way through the store until he found the break room for the employees.  He crept into a cabinet and stayed there until the store closed.  Finally, the store was closed and the only person there was the night watchman.
When he thought the coast was clear he climbed out of the cabinet and found some food that some of the workers had left on the table.  Ely was very hungry by this time and spied a banana.  He got the banana peeled and dinner was served.  Afterward he decided to explore the store.  He found on the second floor a large area of stuffed animals.  He made his way over and as he walked past each of them they came to life.  They all played and had such fun.  There were stuffed raccoons, stuffed tigers, stuffed dogs and cats and lots of stuffed bears.  He particularly found a friend in a large stuffed brown bear named Grace.  They were all playing hide and seek when the night watchman came up and saw Ely scampering about and of course the watchman couldn't see the stuffed animals, all of them had went back to there normal state when he came into the room.  Ely made his way down to the first floor and hadn't noticed it was already morning and the manager was just opening the door for business so he ran out the fron t door and made his way back to the alley where the sun was shining and the rain had disappeared.  Ely won't soon forget his new friends at the toy store.
I'll have another piece of pecan pie
said the rollie, pollie guy with the striped bow tie
The waitress brought out more pecan pie
"This is your tenth piece," she said with a sigh
The rollie pollie guy just rolled his eyes
while his girth tripled than quadrupled in size
"OK I'm done and I'm stuck in this chair"
The waitress got the plunger and pulled him out of there
Then the waitress brought out a pie to go
for the rollie, pollie guy with the striped bow tie.
Robin
next three words:  elephant, canary, house
