This morning I am finding myself ultra-sensitive.  Even the seam in my underwear is hurting.  (I'm sure it's because of the week I've had!)  So I came downstairs and found that my 5 year old was already up, had gotten herself a glass of soymilk, and was sitting by the fireplace with the laptop on.  She had accessed Barbie.com.  (A hideous site that frequently hangs up and frustrates her .. but she is addicted anyway!)
I was apparently moving pretty slowly, and my kids are used to my mornings being rough, so she said "Hey Mom!  I'm taking care of myself this morning so you can just help yourself to all the advil and coffee you need.  You'll feel better soon.  If you need me to help you wash your hair, we can take a bath together in 48 minutes."
My middle son had made coffee so that it would be ready when I woke up, made toast and jelly for himself and his little sister, and thought to add bananas to their tray "because I always make them eat fruit".
The oldest is still asleep.  Good grief, what I would give to be able to sleep like a teenager again!!!
Not sure what happens in 48 minutes, but it's awfully nice to know that my children are so resilient and sweet!  I'm gonna hang on to this for a long time ... because sometimes I worry about how having a FM mom must be rough for them, but today I am so encouraged ... they are SUCH GREAT KIDS!!!!!  They don't sound too 'ruined' to me!!  :)

Your children sound wonderful and that's because of your good parenting!  They didn't get that way through osmosis!  See, fibro not only brings more compassion into our lives but also to our children's lives.
I used to feel guilty that I couldn't do all that the other parents did but I was there for my children.  I was home and they came to me with their questions.  They are all adults now and have told me over and over again what a wonderful Mom I have been.  You see, you are there for the important things.  Kids are smart and they know you are there to love them and help them.  And, it brings them great pleasure to love you and help you!  Now that is what having a family is all about.  I'm so happy for you!

You do have great children and I agree with Sherrine, they didn't get that way by themselves.
Yeah, I would like to sleep like a teen too, my DH can.
luv and hugs

yep .... I am pretty proud of them. They are great people ... I have much to be thankful for!!!!

The oldest DID finally wake up, because he was HUNGRY. LOL

The middle one is STILL cleaning his room. (Poor guy ... ADD makes tedious stuff like that torture!)

The little one had a melt down a while ago ... she has realized that Sunday night = almost Monday morning and she doesn't want the weekends to end. I can't say that I blame her!!

Hubby just got home from teaching all weekend .... he brought pizza ... the boys called and told him I'd been cleaning the house all day and he figured I was ready for a break.

What a great day!!

I agree my children 3 boys and one girls have grown up to adults that a a pleasure to be around they have learnt to think of others and not put them selves first. Now all of them have found people to spend thier lives with who are grateful for them being able to wash cook and understand that every one has a bad day now and then. One of my DIL thanked us for having such a caring son. Fibro my make us want the pain etc to stop but it also gives us wonderful caqring children. Mine grew up with me having Fibro and some times get over protective.
