I have been in a flare now for 3 days. Everything hurts - legs, ribs, arms. I thought I would try some gentle stretches.....well, I barely stretched and pulled something in my back! Now I have a flare and back pain and spasms. Not to mention my bad elbow that I need to see the orthopedic surgeon for next week. This is just a rotten week. Gentle stretches - not on my list of things to do for a while. shakehead

I'm sorry you caused even more pain. Our bodies are so weird, what stretched yesterday may not stretch today and of course we don't know that til it's too late. Some mornings when I get up my right arm doesn't want to stretch, like the muscles shrank during the night.

And we wonder why normals don't get this???  smilewinkgrin

A TENS unit is good for muscle spasms if you have one.

Get better.

luv and hugs

Sorry you are hurting myjoy. If I didn't do gentle stretching everyday I couldn't function,
I'd be too stiff. You know the routine, soak in a hot bath, use your bed buddy and muscle
relaxers are great for back spasms. Flares are rotten and I hope your's ends quickly.
Good luck next week seeing your orthopedic surgeon. Hopefully your elbow will feel better
soon. Sending you gentle hugs.

Such nice posts. Thanks so much.

I do stretches most days. This has never happened before. An ice pack seems to be calming things down a bit on my back. I don't have any flexeryl. Wish I did right now. Wow, I sure haven't done much today. I was in so much pain that I could barely get through doing the dishes. Days like this are tough - I feel so lazy.
