I think it's time for all of us to do something nice just for ourselves! We more than deserve special treatment each and every day but we know how life goes... rolleyes So today do something that is just for you! This doesn't have to cost anything but may take some cooperation.

For example...When you fix your breakfast use the best dishes you own...what are we all saving them for?? We're plenty special to use them for us.

Or, take the longest shower or bath ever...until the hot water tank is totally used up. If you have kids then either ask someone to watch them or when your SO comes home have him/her watch them while you soak as long as you please.

Or, make yourself a special lunch! Maybe make a great dessert... smilewinkgrin Give yourself a great manicure. Have a wonderful nap today. If you enjoy a hobby then forget about the housework and cooking and just do something fun that you enjoy. If you like surfing then spend a couple of hours just playing online. Go to the mall and visit one of those high end stores where they give you a free make-up treatment in hopes you will buy stuff. Oh, and make sure to get a bunch of free samples before you thank them for their time. Choose something just for you today even if it's only for a short time. Maybe there is someone you'd love to call and visit with...go ahead.

As for me...this is harder than I thought but I think I'm going for the hobby deal. I want to spend a day just sewing but I get so bogged down with what everyone else needs and the housework, laundry, all know...that I end up spending about 30 minutes if I'm lucky. So, tomorrow is ME day and I'm going to sew.

What are you going to do for yourself today???

If I have the energy, maybe I will do a little scrapbooking. It has been ages since I've done anything. I don't even know what I have for pictures right now, but I am more than a year behind on both my kids books, and much more than that on my general pictures.

Or, if I'm too tired, maybe I'll just take a nap...

what a great post~!

I had a 'me day' on Saturday.  My daughter and I ate ice cream for breakfast in bed, we watched the Jungle Book movie, then read ALL 23 of the fairy tales in her book.  We wore our PJs ALL DAY, my husband brought us junk food for lunch, and we even are THAT in bed!  (We don't eat that stuff often, but MAN it was good!  lol)  THEN, we took a nap.  A LONG nap.  When I woke up, I had a million things to do, but decided to ignore ALL of them, so instead of housework, Clara and I made brownies. Hubby took Clara out to go for a walk in the snow in the dark while I filled the tub and made the bed, then she and I took a long bubble bath together and ate our fresh warm gooey brownies RIGHT IN THE TUB!  :)  We were in bed, in clean warm jammies, with a fresh coat of cotton candy pink nail polish and homemade popcorn by 8:00.

I was sooooo lazy ... it was wonderful!

I really like a lot of the suggestions you put up...Most of them sound so wonderful to me. What I haven't done in a long time is just soak in the tub with a book. I used to do it almost everyday, and then I just stopped for some reason. But I think it would be nice to take a nice hot bath a read a book. My tub isn't the most comfortable in the world because it doesn't slant and the end-it's straight up instead...*** I do like to lie in there as long as I can and just read a good book. There's no worrying about housework, bills, the fact that our car doesn't run at the moment, and anything else that is stressing me out. It's just me, a hot bath, and a good book.

I have no clue as to what to do today for myself. But I love the posts above, sounds so relaxing.

Maybe I will go for a walk, or even try to cross country ski. The sun is out and that is a plus for me. We have had cold weather and are due for a break. Hopefully a thaw.

Have a great day ladies.

Hugs, Karen

I am going to skype for an hour with my daughter and grandaughter, it really does
lift my spirits to see them. I'll be going to Wisconsin in a couple of weeks to visit
family and old friends and be able see everyone in person!

I'm going to write to one of my sponsored children in Africa. I just love doing that, and this will be my first letter to this new little girl in my life. I've already found the family pictures I'm going to send, and I bought some paper dolls.

The only thing I will do today is the dishes, otherwise, it's a "me" day.
