Good evening all.  I wish I had something good and helpful to post but as usual it's a complaint.  I have been flaring for a few days.  I don't know if stress lately has brought this on or the really cold snowy weather we have had.  Probably a combo of both.  Today I feel that the costo. is also worse and I also have a hiatel hernia that has been giving me some problems for the past several days.  When I have a bad flare I also seem to have anxiety with it- trying really hard to fight the anxiety.  I'm doing all I know to do to make through.  I just wanted to touch base with you all- with people who understand.  On a lighter note, our weather here has been much better this week.  The temps have been in the 40's since Monday but I just saw the weather and starting tomorrow the temps are going back down and there is a possibility for a touch of snow this weekend.  I'm just thankful the snow and ice didn't last long.  It use to seem that the cold weather didn't bother me and make me flare but the past few years it has.  Guess it's part of getting older too.  Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone.  Soft hugs to all!

Hi Libby,

I am so sorry that you are going through a flare right now. I hope that it subsides soon and that you start to feel better. 40's would be a heat wave here. It is suppose to get up to 32 tomorrow and that seems warm. I hope it does as I have a pdoc appointment. I missed my last one due to the weather last week.

I hope that you are feeling better soon. Try to relax, cast that anxiety aside, as it just makes things worse. Maybe take a nice warm bath or listen to some of your favorite soothing music and just kick back. Heat always helps me. I hope that it helps you too. Do you have a bed buddy? They really make life better.

Hugs, Karen

Sorry you are hurting Libby. When we are flaring everthing seems to go haywire. Stress
will make a flare worse amd kick up the anxiety, It is a viscious cycle. Do what you can
to keep the stress down. I do my deep breathing exercises to get my stress down. Take a
long hot bath, listen to some music. Use the bed buddy, heating pad you know the drill.

Flares can come out of nowhere, most of my flares are do to overdoing, stress, lack of
sleep and crummy weather. Pamper yourself but keep youself moving. You don't want to
become stiff and add to your pain.

Hope your flare is short lived and that you feel better soon. Sending gentle hugs.

hugs, Robin
