I am curious what people take for doses for pain. I currently take 60mg but used to take 120mg. I am thinking of asking to try to increase it to see if it helps the pain any more. Myliver enzymes are elevated a bit, wondering if increasing is a bad idea.

thanks,
melissa

Hello, I tried Cymbalta 30 mg about a year ago and it didn't help any with my pain so i stopped. recently I was perscribed Ibuprofen 800mg, Lortab and it helped better. But my rheumy wanted me to try cymbalta in addition to my other meds and it has helped a great deal. It took the combination of all 3 meds to get the pain under control. Everyone is different and it is trial and error to get the right meds. Work with your doctor until you find the right ones for you.

I take Cymbalta 60mg twice a day, morning and night, in addition to Oxycontin slow release 20 mg twice a day (and a 10mg pill at bedtime), and Tramacet 37.5mg, as needed (usually every 4 hours). So far, this combo seems to be keeping things under control.

I am on a 50mch fentanyl patch, 15 mg oxycodone up to 3x a day and the cymbalta.

You think i would have my pain under control but its not. I am so sore. maybe going up to 120 on cymbalta may help.\

thanks for your help
