I have had the joyous couple of days (NOT).

Lets see... 3 year old vomiting all night and finally goes to sleep at 6 am only to have the 5 year old wake up and have to get him ready and fed for kindergarden. Me sleep? No way. So No sleep, cranky as heck, I tell the trained man to watch them and I wouldnt return for the night and I'd go to my fav hotel (that has a jacuzzi hehe). So he agrees knowing I needed a break. To make it worse...get this I'm walking down the ramp from the second floor when my blood sugar gets low (diabetic) and woosh I'm on the floor. Get up take a few more steps wooosh hey...I'm back on the ground. I have no clue why, but I managed to fall down a ramp 3 times. Now I hurt like oh well you get the point, just realized I shouldnt type out that four lettered word that I hurt like. Is is the fibro acting with the pain from the fall? And what on earth can I do to easeee this pain?

Wait a minute, your DH agreed for you to go to a motel for the night??? What a man, you do have him trained. devil

Don't you carry anything in your purse for when the blood sugar goes down??? I hope you got good use of the jacuzzi cause that was probably the best thing you could have done after the falls. Heat and time is the only thing I can think of, besides meds, that will help you.

Sounds like you would have been better off staying at home with the sick child. smilewinkgrin

luv and hugs

Hi Smurfy!

I would guess you have pain going from a fibro flair and from falling. I too am diabetic, on insulin, and I always carry glucose tablets and most often a granola bar. If you drove over there with your sugars that low you are putting yourself in a deadly situation...but you already know that.

Lots of warmth on those muscles and see if you can get a baby sitter come on over with you still there. Don't have to leave to have a sitter come watch the kids while you get other things done or just rest.

Well, helloooo stranger!  I haven't seen you in quite a while.  I'm sorry you have had such a rough time.  The fall sure could have made your sore muscles more sore.  I know that if I just overdo, I'll have more muscle pain.  But, falling can really make you sore.  I guess you already found that out.

Like Chutz and you, I'm diabetic too.  I don't like those glucose tablets so I carry M&M's with me!  smilewinkgrin   That's the sweet way to raise my blood sugar!  Hee hee.  I also carry sour dough pretzel nuggets.  Each nugget is 1 1/2 carbs so you can regulate how much you are getting and they, too, taste good and don't get smashed in your purse.  As Chutz said, you should always carry something with you to offset low blood sugar episodes.  I'm glad that you only fell.  It could have been worse.

Hot showers, a Bed Buddy, and rest will fix you up soon.  Feel better!

Hey Smurf,

I am glad that you are okay. Hard candy is another good thing to carry when you need it, just pop into your mouth. Or a candy bar.

I hope that you had a little fun and relaxation. I am so sorry that you fell. I hope that today is better for you.

Hugs, Karen
