Ok so the Dr. put me on Vit B 12 injections due to my blood work showing that I was lacking in vit B 12.
I didnt have the guts to give myself the injection so I took it to the nurse to do. She popped it in my arm and off i went back home. I was so excited! After all I have done so much reading on Vit B 12 and Fibro and how it has helpped so many others like me. My nerve Conduction test came back abnormal in my sensory nerves. That explains the pains I get in my legs and feet, burning, tingleing, sometime walking on glass like feelings. I read that Vit B 12 deficantcy can cause all of the bad things I have been living with for years....
So long story short I was excited to get my 1st shot and feel better!....
By 4 pm I was in my bed sleeping didnt wake up till after 10 am thats over 18 hrs of sleep! I woke feeling really bad! Could hardly get my head off the pillow. Called all 3 of my Dr.s to have them all say they dont know why I feel the way I do that the injection should of made me feel better. ????? So am I just weird??? Crazy??? Oh man I feel like crap!
Have any of you tried Vit B 12? what was it like for you?

I have never had vit B12 injections myself but my DIL, that also has fibro, gets them and they give her more energy.
Could it be that your coming down with something is why your feeling so bad??? I have never slept for 18 hrs that I know of but I do know on those rare occasions when I sleep a little too much I will feel out of it pretty much the whole day. Like everything else with fibro there is a fine line between enough and too much for me.
I do hope you start feeling better.
luv and hugs

You might have ended up getting too much sleep but yet making up for some sleep that you weren't getting before... also like someone else said you may be coming down with something. I get b12 3 times a week right now I find that I sleep a little better and it gives me more energy... with sleep I don't hurt so much in the morning.

I feel so much better today!!!yeah   I wonder if I was so low on B 12 that it was a bit of a shock for my body. Today I feel good not sick at all. ??? I guess I will have to wait till next mo when I go get another injection and see if it makes me react the same way. I sure hope not!smhair
