Well my son and I are moved into our new very quiet appartment on the ground floor. It has a washer and dryer so I don't have to go outside and down some stairs to the laundry facility. The Department of Social and Health Services is giving me 30 days more or less to have my DR fill out a medical form telling them how much and what I can do and can not do with my disabilities. I was floored. I also heard through the grapevine that they might even help me with getting SSI to. I for whatever works right now. That's what I'm doing. I am slowly getting things unpacked. I used a U-Haul one day with a little extra help. Then it broke down the next day. Then I highered Starving Students (moving company) and they helped me get the rest of the boxes and dinning room table out. Then all that was left was for me and my son to do and it took us three extra days to go back and forth in the car with stuff. My son was such a big help and I'm very proud of him eventhough he had a very big bruise on the bottom of his right foot. It's better now. I don't know how I got up and down 16 stairs by myself on the last trip in the car. I bribed the new neighbor at the old place with $20 if he would carry down a hugh heavy box for me. Thank goodness for small miricals.

Glad to hear you survived your move Hara. It will feel good for you not to go up and down
stairs anymore. Hope you can take some time to rest, moving sure is a chore. Your son
was a big help and I can see how that would make a Mom proud.

Good luck getting things together for SSI. I hope everything works out well for you.
Welcome back!

Yes my son was a big help, although near the end he was getting a little crabbymad but he kept telling me he wanted to do more. I did have to put my foot down and tell him to stay with the kitties that night on the last trip.

Wow, Hara...you are amazing! I know that feeling of pushing yourself just a little bit more and oh do we pay but sometimes we just have to. Please do take it easy unpacking now. You have all the time you need and no one's rushing you. I'm praying that your SSI comes through easily and fast!

Warm hugs,
Chutzie
