Today is a tough day.  I feel rotten, it's foggy and rainy.  My husband was going to take the day off so we could do something fun, but he had to go to work.  I have a feeling he's just sick of me.  With this fibro I feel like I have lost all my friends, so I can't call anyone for lunch.  My house is a mess and things have just piled up.  My hobbies are all on hold.  I know tomorrow might be better, but today is just really hard.  Thanks so much for being here and letting me dump.  I guess we have to hang in here together.  Although somedays I just don't know if I can.

I'm sorry you are having a rough day today.  I just bet your hubby really did have to work.  You are laying "guilt" on yourself for no reason!  You do the best you can and he probably understands that.

Why don't you pick a corner of a room and clear it out or clean up one of the piles you mentioned in your post.  You would be accomplishing something and would make you feel better.  Or, maybe fix something special for your husband for dinner.  I find that if I get busy doing something, the day goes by quickly and I feel good about myself.  Ahhh....a nice candlelight meal would be nice!

Hi, New Day. I don't believe we have spoken before, so let me welcome you to the family. It is a miserable day here, also, rainy, chilly, in a word - YUK! I think sometimes the weather helps to sour our mood, about the day, about others, about ourselves. I was feeling a bit more 'up' the other day when the sun was out and I didn't need to wear a heavy coat to walk the dog.

Hopefully, your DH will be off on the weekend and the two of you can have a fun outing. Perhaps there is someone you could call, they might be feeling out of sorts w/ this weather. Sometimes, just hearing a friend's voice is a great pick me up.

I have been so behind w/ my house, too many other things going on. Each day I pick one area to do, if I feel more energy when I'm done, I pick a light thing to do. One item at a time doesn't feel so overwhelming, as ONE room or ALL the floors, if you get what I mean. I have put most of my hobbies on hold, but I try to make some time for me each day. I like to walk on nice days or use my bike in here on days like today. I also need to rest on my heating pad for a bit each day. It revives me, seriously.

I'm glad you felt like coming here to vent, sometimes that alone is such a blessing.

Hope you feel better very soon.

God bless. Alice.

Sending you a gentle hug New Day. I'm sorry your plans fell through. The day is not lost.
You can turn it into a A TIME FOR ME DAY. Have a relaxing soak in the tub or take a long
hot shower. Check to see if there is a good old movie on TV make some popcorn and just
relax. I do that occasionally, its like a cheap spa day and you don't have to leave the house.

Housework can sometimes invigorate me if I put some music on, crank it up and dance
while I'm doing it. Sometimes to get me motivated I pretend my house is for sale and
there is going to be an open house at the end of the day. The things I do to get my house
clean.

It is good to vent. I even vent to my cats! Hope your day improves and you feel better!

Hugs, Robin

Hey there.  I was having one of these days (weeks) myself last week and posted about it.  It's tough when you're feeling so bad.  I totally understand about the friendships too.  I have had to cancel plans from not feeling well on many occasions but the good ones will understand and if they don't they probably weren't "real" friends to begin with.  Try to remember there will be better days and that people care, even if they don't seem like it.  Isn't it great to be able to come here where people actually understand what you're going through?  Here's to hoping your day gets better.

I hear you each and everyone. We are having the same crappy weather today. Do you think your head can actually explode when it hurts so bad it feels like it could??? I picture myself as a cartoon character with this exploding head. smhair I did actually find last night that ice on my forehead and on the back of my skull did help.

My dear sweet hubby had to go to work today even though he didn't feel like it, has doc app tomorrow morning for sinus infection. There are somethings he can't depend on other people to do and he has been home all week with a bad cold.

I cleaned up the kitchen a little bit and decided I didn't really feel like doing anything else in the house so went to Walmart to walk around and get a few things. Oh how I wish we lived closer to other stores, I'm so sick of Walmart. There is a man with no legs that goes everyday to have something to do, he lost his wife 15 yrs ago. Yes, everytime I see him in his wheelchair and knowing he must be so lonely it makes fibro sound pretty good to me. I've not yet had to use an electric cart to shop and for that I'm thankful.

I don't know why but I don't think I have ever had a boring day in my life, maybe when I was a kid. Even on the worst days I can always find a movie to watch or something if I don't feel like sitting up to do anything.

Hope tomorrow is sunny for everyone, not suppose to be here, and everyone is feeling better.

luv and hugs
Marlee

It's a New Day - I am sorry that you are having a bad day. I agree with Crazykitty Robin - turn it into a pamper me day. When you feel better and the sun is shining you'll probably feel more like doing the regular house chores we all have to do. I've been stuck to my house alot t his winter due to my daughter being stuck in the house (she has fibro) and waiting for the endless phone calls from doctors and school. Today I went and rented a couple of movies - something I haven't done in a long time. I watched on already and enjoyed myself. All this will pass so in the mean time I say pamper yourself and enjoy it! Good luck.

Marlee2 and anyone else with headaches. My brain always feels its trying to ooze out of my skull - ugh! Try this: place an icepack on the front part of your head and lay on a heating pad for the back half. After about 20 min switch - keeps pain confused. Works pretti good for me.
